I’ve just dropped these off at my lovely new stockist The Selkie Collective in Broadford. I’ve added to my current Skye collection with this fab scallop (arguably the shelliest of all shells?) and classic cockle too.
If you are on Skye and passing by, pop in for all your refill and foodie needs…and of course some perfect gifts! 🐚 🤍

En route to haym__carnoustie 🐚. Fun fact, it’s almost exactly 3 years I’ve been stocking my jewellery with Janice and she is just the best supporter of wee businesses as well as top advice giver and put-the-world-to-rights bletherer ever!
A wee selection of carnoustie shells and a very different addition too 😮 I have quite a few Carnoustie treasures and LOVE the mini twirl (inside of a dog whelk) and the wee dog whelk is so cute. Shells side, anyone who has walked along the beach will not be surprised to find the odd golf ball (far too big to recreate in solid metal!!) so a tee it is, complete with cringy pun 👏
I know this beach so well from when I lived in Carnoustie, I had two large dogs back then so spent a LOT of time keeping away from the more rabbity walks around the town 😆 some of my fav pics were taken on that beach 🐾 making this collection even more meaningful for me 🤍🧡🖤

Chunky hearts, large and small, these have been a mainstay for more than 5 years. Lately, the smaller heart has been more popular and I’m half thinking about adding another one….but that’s definitely for another day!

A wee insight into the making of a handmade chain. It’s a long process, made longer by that fact that I’m just making it up as I go and often change my mind and/or start making something else at the same time!
Creativity bracelets will always be my favourite thing to make and wear (I wear two every day)! I know I say everything is my favourite but if I had the choice to only ever make one thing, it would be these. A perfect mix of creativity, unpredictably, randomness and fun 🤍🤍

Along with the jewellery, a selection of keychain/bag charms are heading to . All the shells and a bonus pebble too!
A perfect gift, memento or souvenir, presented in a wee cotton bag (which is also surprisingly handy!!), to remember time in Stonehaven or just to gift a bit of the beach to someone who loves it!
Each one noted with my highly scientific knowledge of what each shell is…or at least my best guess! These ones aren’t too tricky, mainly limpets and dog whelks but the wee Venus shell appeared just as I was leaving the beach which was a nice surprise!
I’ve loved creating this wee collection, I hope you love them too! X

A bit about my love of limpets 💙 feel free to scroll on - it’s a bit niche!
The shell obsession has sub-obsessions and limpets is definitely one!
I now have six in the collections and know that I’m nowhere near stopping. Yes, I can tell them all apart and yes, I know which beach they are all from!
Limpets are pretty much on every beach and they are always in my pocket. I found two today which are teeny and will be tricky to make but I’m up for the challenge!
One of my recent Stonehaven ones is the biggest. The first pic was how I first saw this one - in the water inside up with these gorgeous iridescent blues shining. Turn it over and it was very dark, barnacles and gnarly - a total contrast. Cast in pewter the dark surface becomes shiny and textured and I love it!
It’s a whole limpet but my version has become a holey limpet. This was initially a mistake during the casting process but I kept it, it added a bit more character to the limpet, as well as making it a wee bit lighter to wear. I hadn’t made earrings of this one but already I’m thinking I will. Big statement dangles - why not? I also have with the wee holey ones, so something for everyone!
It’s never ‘just a limpet’. Just because something is common doesn’t mean it can’t be special xx

Introducing my latest shell collection, from Stonehaven for . It was a very limpety beach (which I love) so have ended up with three in the collection, as well as two dog whelks and a wee striped Venus. It was the most amazing pebbly beach (also LOVE!) so a special Stonehaven stone has also been make into tactile jewellery too. These will be getting posted off to the shop at the end of the week so if you are in the area next week, pop in! I’ll post a few more pics before then too x

I really do have the best and smartest customers!
I was chatting to a lovely lady at the weekend who bought a seagull from me last year. I asked her which one, either the one which drops as a pendant (more vertical gull) or the one which threads through the wings (a more horizontal gull). She told me it was the latter and that sometimes she just threads it through one loop on the back so has the best of both worlds 🤯🤯
Why had I never thought of that? Also, it looks so fab with the chain going behind the wing, I might even consider having the vertical gull hang that way!!!
I’d love to say I think of these things and all my designs are carefully considered in all the different possible ways …… but it just doesn’t always go that way with me. Happy mistakes, discoveries and design ideas generally just happen as I go (I’ve been making these gulls for more than 5years so it’s never too late!) 🖤
So thank you and please keep chatting and sharing your thoughts, I love it!!

Before my recent obsession with casting shells from around Scotland, there was the OG shell in my silver collection - ‘the world is your oyster’ shell. 🦪
The difference with this shell is that it isn’t an accurate copy of a shell I found, rather it’s my interpretation of an oyster with the wee pearl inside. A rough, textured outside with a shiny smooth inner, all hidden when worn, it closes shut to protect the treasure inside.
Choose your colour of pearl - shown are white, peach, grey and peacock and I also have a soft rose pink in stock. I love them all but the grey has definitely been the most popular choice recently and I’m not surprised - it is stunning.
Always a favourite at markets and a piece I’m very proud of 🤍🤍
