Another tasty meal - keeps getting better and better. Chicken with tomato pesto, moz cheese and veg. Delicious!!!!!!!
Lunch for the next 4 days sorted. Soup smells divine.

Sunday dinner, ribeye steak cajun sweet potato cubes, mushrooms, onion and wilted spinach. Yum. Share of steak for Lofty dog.
Today's meals were another 1st delight. Sour dough toast 2 eggs, half an avo, chicken ceaser salad for lunch and then chicken curry over broccoli - ive excelled myself today and for that i had 2 wee lindor chocolate truffles. 😁 result!
Just had the sausage casserole - oh my it was so so good. Even some left for another night's delight. Soup on for tomorrow's lunch.

HEARTBURN! I have had so many clients recently who have been suffering with heartburn for years. Anti acids do not work as they do not solve the problem they just mask the symptoms.

I love Wednesday's!!

In my group coaching programme we do weigh in Wednesdays. The ladies send me their results by sending a photo of their weekly weigh in. It is absolutely amazing the difference accountability can make to a person who needs the support to change.

I love the support and encouragement that women give each other. It certainly makes it easier when you know others are cheering you on.

An abundance of spinach.
We use loads of this and it is so good over the summer months to just collect it from the garden.
Salads, smoothies and omelettes all get a handful of spinach. Endless vitamins and minerals to be enjoyed.

What a week. I have had so many clients this week who have had some heavy emotional things to deal with. Never underestimate the power our emotions have on our physical health and energy levels. I always use this book as an example. If you think of a time you felt embarrassed and your face went red well that is a physical effect of emotions. Tears are better out than in. Get in touch if you have some things you would like to ALLOW yourself to let go of. I highly recommend this book.

When I was 26 a Doctor told me I had chronic fatigue syndrome, I had been off work for 3 months and felt so exhausted all the time. I went to see an amazing Systematic Kinesiologist who thankfully set me on the right track to full health and energy. I was back working full time 3 weeks later. Never ever underestimate the value of your emotional health. All of our emotions and stress affect us physically. I call the Bach remedy’s vitamins for the soul. I have used these with nearly every client for the last 2 weeks. Lots of stress and anxiety around. If you are struggling try some Bach Rescue Remedy. You can find it in most chemists or health food stores.

It is truly amazing the amount of clients I have with gut problems. They think it’s food related but it turns out to be stress, emotion or trauma,
This is a great article, well with a read.

The vagus nerve is one of the biggest nerves sending signals in both directions connecting your gut and brain.

Gut health is key for emotional health and emotional health is key for gut health. Therefore looking at emotional stress release techniques to clear and balance emotions is also crucial.

Upset and trauma can remain in the cells of our body long after we have consciously let go or ‘put it to the back of our minds’

Kinesiologists have powerful tools to release these loaded emotions from continuing to wreak havoc within the cells of our body whether we are consciously aware of them or not. Here are some ways to help yourself.

Worth a read if you suffer from headaches.

The first common cause of headaches and migraines is a blood sugar imbalance. Consequently, diabetics are more prone to headaches. When blood sugar concentration increases, your body tries to dilute the excess sugar concentration by triggering thirst, so you drink more water. If you ignore this signal, the combination of dehydration and blood sugar peaks and troughs can often also triggers a headache.

The solution is to eat a diet that keeps your blood sugar level even – and avoid sugar and refined carbohydrates. This means never skipping breakfast, eating slow releasing carbs (such as wholegrains, brown rice, lentils and beans) with protein, and snacking on low glycemic index fruit, such as apples, strawberries and pears. Following my low GL diet can make all the difference.

Weight loss is an outcome but it should not be the focus. This is known as Fat Carbonara in our house. My sons 14th birthday dinner choice and it is absolutely delicious. Complete Carb overload and worth every bite. Food is one of our greatest pleasures and a big part of how we celebrate. I always aim to teach my clients to thoroughly enjoy food and not feel guilty about the less that optimal food choices we sometimes make. In the words of Marie Forleo aim for progress not perfection!! 😊

For 13 years I owned a ladies only gym. During this time I heard about every crazy diet under the sun. However, having studied Nutrition and Eating Psychology I knew that none of these diets made any SENSE! This led me to create my own nutrition plan which is based around so much more than just controlling calories. It is about understanding the relationship between what you eat and how you feel. Food nourishes us, it keeps us strong and healthy. Your long-term health, your energy, your mood and your skin is all affected by the food you eat. When you start to view it in this way losing weight becomes much easier as your focus is on good quality nutritious food that will keep you feeling satisfied instead of low nutrient foods that keep you craving. What you need to lose weight is a calorie deficit. What you need to look and feel amazing is a good balance of protein, fibre and fat with minimal processed, high sugar and high fat foods. This plan will guide you to set smart goals, manage cravings, improve your habits, your self-talk and have a better attitude to food.
