Back home, but mentally still somewhere in a Swedish forest🇸🇪🌲

This is how our FIA ERC Royal Rally ended, on the second pass of Lövhöjden we came across an anti-cut which was further out than the first pass. The rear end stepped out and just caught a rock braking the rim, we continued for 1km until the wheel finally broke off and overtook us!

With us running super rally we took the opportunity on Sunday to run some radical set-up changes which felt like a good step forward, we weren’t pushing stupidly hard but were giving it a good go! Still, I think we got a lot luckier than & Phillip Allen. Fortunately it was only the rim that broke.

Despite that I can honestly say that was one of the most enjoyable weekends rallying for a while. The stages, competitors, fans, team & beautiful country made it one to remember.

Thanks to Harry in the co-driver seat, he was definitely kept busy over the weekend but what a job from that side of the car.

Thanks to my dad and the team for the hard work over the weekend, they’ve been very busy too. Working out what way to go with set-up, keeping the car 100% and the effort getting it into tarmac trim ready for Rome in 4 weeks!

Our day has ended in SS7 Gardsjo after this very innocent looking rock on the line broke the track rod end bracket on the hub. To say we’re disappointed after such a positive start to the day is an understatement!
