GORTIN GLENS FAMILY MINI SESSIONS

Would you love a family portrait session in one of Tyrone’s most beautiful places?

Our spring mini sessions are being held on Sunday the 19th of July in the picturesque setting of the Gortin Glens Forest Park. At 20 minutes long they’re short enough that no one gets too tired or bored, but long enough to get all the beautiful images you’ll love meaning they’re perfect for young families.

We incorporate lots of play and fun, with gentle prompts rather than stiff poses, meaning no stress and genuine smiles. And our aim is for you to leave saying ‘that was way easier than we expected!’ with a gallery of images that will make you smile for years to come.

At just £40 they’re super affordable too.

For this one I’m a firm ‘yes’…but only if your venue allow it!
There’s a few of reasons for and against with sparkler exits, here’s why I think they’re great ⬇️

• Visually they’re stunning! In your final gallery they’re some of the most eye catching shots!

• It lets your guests be a real part of the celebrations, get hands on, and be a part of a real spectacle that they’ll be looking forward to seeing afterwards. We always have guests asking to see the photos on the back of the camera straight after.

• Rather than an ‘exit’ at the end of the night you can do it in that funny time of the evening after dinner and before the band start. Photographers generally don’t stay till the wee hours, and besides, by that time your guests may not be fit to hold a sparkler without being a liability!

Sparkler photos can be dreamy, and add a fun interactive element to your celebrations. But make sure the venue know your plans, they can often help co-ordinate it and help with lighting all the sparklers so it all goes a bit more smoothly.

Chat to your photographer well ahead of time if you’d love to add this to your day, they’ll be able to direct your guests and stage manage the whole thing with no stress added to your plate.

You know that awkward time between dinner ending and the bank kicking off? That’s when we try to get guest portraits of as many people at the wedding as possible. Not everyone is keen, but for the most part people are usually up for it…especially after they’ve had a few drinks and are relaxed ready for a night partying.
If you’ve gone to the effort of getting dressed, getting your hair and make up done, and are away from the kids for the evening you should mark the occasion surely!
For the bride and groom it’s a great way to send their guests a keepsake from the day, as well as having a record of their nearest and dearest.
It’s a little bit of work at our end but the photos are only going to become more valuable in time so it’s worth it in our book.
