Cosy Crime, an Oxymoron?
Can we describe crime as cosy? Certainly this genre is increasingly popular, just look at the success of Richard Osman and The Thursday Murder Club and there is nothing better than curling up and escaping into a crime novel, where violence often occurs off the page and we can all attempt to solve the mystery.

In November & December Booktime, we take a look at A Ukrainian Christmas by Nadiyka Gerbish & Yaroslav Hrytsak. A beautifully illustrated book exploring the yuletide culture and traditions of the country, it was first published to acclaim in Ukraine in 2020. This new English language edition features a foreword written by the authors following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia in February 2022.
