[S03E84 - RAPTOR OUTLAW FUEL ALTERED WIN 🏆]

Come with us as we tow the Bates Racing Raptor Outlaw Fuel Altered down to the staging lanes from the pits and prepare for a WIN at the NSRA Nostalgia Nationals back at the start of May this year.

Probably one of the most pivotal moments is our Jordan getting suited-up in the fan-favourite dinosaur costume, fitting in with the theme of the team very nicely indeed! 🦖

We get back to racing NEXT WEEK when we roll back in to Santa Pod Raceway for Dragstalgia where we go up-against 19 other competitors in the Nostalgia Cannonball all hoping to get Evie hands on the trophies at Round 2 of the year.

[S03E83 - WATCH 12,000BHP COME TO LIFE]

The Showtime Racing Nitro Funny Car of Bob Jarrett is brought to life in the pit area before running 300mph in 4.18 seconds over the famous Santa Pod Raceway 1,000ft drag strip.

Watch as the insane power of this 500 cubic-inch motor based on the 426 Hemi shakes the whole chassis whilst veteran Funny Car driver John Spuffard sits in the hot seat calm as day.

Stay tuned to see the car run 300mph!

The reason for the warm-up is to check that everything works correctly before towing down to the startline and firing-up for the run. Also, this puts some heat into the engine and in to the clutch too - though you don’t want too much heat in the clutch!

The crew can also control the idle to ensure that it is set right.

The fuel is NITROMETHANE which kicks-out nitric acid, that is the yellow haze you see the awning slowly fill up with.

Luckily when I stand on the steps as seen in the second part of the video, apparently it takes a long while for the haze to reach there so I pretty much got away with it! Though, I was holding a damp flannel over my mouth and nose.

[S03E82 - TOP DOORSLAMMER]

Lenn Lindell in his Plymouth Barracuda and Anders Edh in his “Team Edh Racing” Chevrolet Camaro put on a show during Round 1 of Qualifying at the Doorslammers event at Santa Pod Raceway back in the middle of May 2026. Both teams hailing from Sweden. 🇸🇪

The Top Doorslammer class runs over the 1/8th mile or the 660ft mark aka “half track” and these two are two of the quickest TD cars we had on site that weekend - both cars capable of running well-into the 3-second zone at over 200mph! Lenn actually reset his PB at this race by running a very impressive 3.7 at over 200mph! 🏁

[S03E81 - Pro Mod vs. Pro Stock]

The Brit Andy Robinson in his Pro Modified Chevy Camaro takes on the Swede Michael Malmgren in his Pontiac GXP Pro Stock Car in a very unique match-up indeed!

One naturally aspirated (Pro Stock) and the other with a huge blower shoving huge amounts of air and in turn oxygen in to the motor.

This kind of match-race takes place every year at Santa Pod Raceway’s “Doorslammers” event in the middle of May!

[S03E80 - WHIPPLE TOP DOORSLAMMER ACTION]

NIKLAS SÖDERGREN and FREDRIK LUNDH go up against each other in Top Doorslammer Eliminations at the Doorslammers event at Santa Pod Raceway in mid-May 2026. Both teams using a Whipple blower - pretty rare in 2026!

NIKLAS pretty much stole the show in his BMW 2002 named “LILLGRODARACING” which when translated Swedish to English means “LITTLE FROG RACING”. The car aptly name after the way it jumps around track as demonstrated here when Niklas picks the front wheels up numerous times before heading towards the centre line.

Fredrik Linch wins here with a solid 4.01/190mph pass (TD run over the 660ft / 1/8th mile) in his Chevelle named “WHITE STRIPE”.

Both teams hauling from Sweden 🇸🇪 - in fact, all 6 Top Doorslammer competitors that came over for the Doorslammers meeting, Carl Cox Motorsport Series and the FIA Main Event as an exhibition class all came from Sweden!

[S03E79 - Start Line with Julian Webb’s “Split Second” Jet Dragster]

Julian Webb gave me the opportunity of a LIFETIME by allowing me to film him doing his thing with his Jet Dragsters for the weekend during the NSRA Nostalgia Nationals at the start of May 2026.

It’s absolutely insane being this close to a Jet Dragster and I am so thankful for the chance to do this!

This particular Jet Dragster was the first one I stood behind in the old barn at Santa Pod, so I find it rather fitting that it was the first one I stood on the line for too. 💛🖤

This is Julian’s land speed record car, as that’s what it was built for!

Julian hosts the second-largest stable of jets in the country with two Jet Dragsters.

[S03E78 - 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Kevin Kent Manhandling his 12,000bhp Funny Car]

Under 35C sunshine, the track was pretty greasy all weekend at the FIA Main Event - race 2 of 4 in the 2026 Funny Car Cup series - in Qualifying Session 4.

Entertainment value 100 ✅

It is pretty evident that the West Ten Motorsport Monte Carlo was going to the finish under power no matter what it took!

Fair play to Kevin. I think possibly some anger coming through here too, from what is 9 times out of 10 the most consistent Nitro Funny Car in Europe, the FIA Main Event was a rare off-weekend for the car.

Next time we see Kevin will be with a new body in the guise of a Ford Mustang. 👀

He takes the Number 1 Qualifying spot in Pro Doorslammer on the final pass of Qualifying Session Number 1!

[S03E73 - Carl Cox’s 3,500bhp Pro Charged Plymouth Barracuda]

Carl Cox lays down an absolutely storming burnout in his “Coxy ‘Cuda” Pro Charged Plymouth Barracuda here at the Doorslammers meeting at Santa Pod Raceway.

Cox is entered in the Pro Doorslammer class this weekend.

This was just a test pass to start the weekend off with - Qualifying Session Number 1 is slated for later on this evening!
