Unfortunately a fall at the penultimate after the rider in front fell, cost us 6th place finish, but hopped back on & over the last to finish up 13th / 45, having had the best fun and ticking a big box off the bucket list !

Our own 5yo Hero jumped a lovely 32 double clear for 7th at Bold 90 last weekend in his second ever event, and the Higginโs 7yo Hugo just rolled a pole to finish 7th in his section as well.
Off to Kelsall for Heroโs first BE yesterday, a super day on his behalf, really coping with the atmosphere well, and was well on his way to another double clear, but unfortunately the rider was enjoying it all a bit too much, and got far too complacent at the end of the XC for a very frustrating 20 penalties after a scary camera lead to a green moment from Hero ! Dissapointed to have let him down after such a mega and confident round, but a good wake up call and hopefully we can end the season on a high.

Leesa Daviesโ Jett had a great time at the British Riding Clubs National Championships in the 100+ on Sunday. Finishing up 10th individually and helping the East Clwyd team to 3rd overall ! A huge thank you to Leesa for letting me ride Jett, the whole East Clwyd team for being so welcoming and making it such a great day and Clare for taking Jett down for us.
Our own George did his first BE in 18 months at Homme House Novice yesterday, not a bad return to Eventing, finishing up 15th/40 with 2 v annoying poles in the last triple costing him an easy top 10 placing. So impressed with how easy he made the XC feel after so little preparation. Looking forward to contesting the PC100 champs on him next week, but then unfortunately he will be looking for his new home as I return to uni and the hunt season looms.

Annabelle Preeceโs Rebel - 90 - 21 (!!) Dr, 8ft, clear XC for 6th in the area and 8th overall. Frustrating poles cost the win but I have no doubt his time will come.
Our own George in the - 100 - 32 Dr, double clear, for 3rd in the area and 4th overall, helping towards a team 3rd as well - a bit of a miracle when he was a last minute sub who hasnโt schooled on the flat or seen a show jump for over a year โฆ we werenโt meant to be Eventing again !!
Paul Smithโs Henry - 110 - 29, double clear, to win his second novice by about 8 points, winning both the area and overall - three foot perfect phases - what a ๐.
Leesa Davies Jett - 100+ - 34 dr, 8ft, clear XC to take 2nd individually and help the team to a win ! Such a confident XC, all set for another novice next๐ค
The biggest thank you to the team behind me that make these successes possible, owners, trainers, supporters and sponsors. A mammoth effort yesterday to get all three through on time but I have the best help team who made it happen. Grateful to be part of a fantastic Pony Club and Riding Club who have been so supportive all weekend. ๐ฅ2nd for Paul Smithโs Highfield Master in his first Novice at Warwick Hall on Saturday, having only completed one BE100 previously (thanks to all the abandonments) we were over the moon !
This follows a leading dressage at Berriewood 100+ last weekend.
๐ 8th for Leesa Daviesโ Wolke Midnight in his first Novice as well, once again over the moon for only our 3rd full event together! This followed a lovely double clear in the 100+ at Berriewood last week.
Still so much more to come from both these big horses, looking forward to the remainder of the season on them !
๐ 9th for Annabelle Preeceโs Mullingar Rebel after a lovely double clear in the BE90 at Berriewood. Dissapointed that his dressage score didnโt reflect how we feel he went, but hopefully itโs onwards and upwards !
๐ Finally, 4th for Highfield Master in our first attempt at Working Hunter at the Royal Cheshire County Show this morning.

Annabelle Preece โs Rebel contested his first ever BE in the BE90 , a 29 dressage and flying clear XC, just going slightly green in the SJ which cost him his top placing.
Leesa Darlington Davies โ Jett did a lovely 29 dressage and clear SJ in the BE100 before his XC was unfortunately abandoned
Paul Smith โs Henry also did a lovely 31 dressage and clear SJ in the BE100, but missed his XC run too.
Bradwall -
After what we felt was an improved dressage test we were disappointed with a score of 34 for Jett, one pole SJ, but a super clear XC, inside the time to place 12th in his section in our first full event together - and his first one for almost 3 years !
A few costly mistakes in Henryโs dressage for 30, a frustrating pole SJ but another flying clear inside the time XC to finish up 8th in our first BE together and Henryโs first BE100 completion.
A special mention to Bradwall for some fantastic courses and incredible ground !

The Higginโs Martin topped off a successful starting week with a 33 double clear in the 100 yesterday to finish up 5th. This horse is unfortunately for sale - Horsequest #251125
