Carlisle Half Marathon 10k and Fun Run The Carlisle Half Marathon is an organised running event. This unique innovative event will start and finish at Brunton Park Football Stadium, the home of Carlisle United.

Next Sunday we are staging the Premier Electrical Carlisle Half & 10k plus the amazing Kingmoor Park sponsored Fun Run.

For just £10 kids can run the 2k course at 8.50 starting and finishing at Brunton Park and earn an amazing T Shirt & medal…

This date is the same date as the Great North Run so if any runners sign up for XB and later on in the year are accepted into the GNR we would action a full refund if that was the case.

IMPORTANT EVENT CHANGES & KEY INFO - MUST READ

NEW RUN START TIME

We have decided due to a large entry from outside of the area to start the race at 10am rather than 9am! So there is an extra hour in bed for everyone on the race morning 😀 - it also means we don’t have to set up in the Dark for once 😀🤩

RACE NUMBERS

All Race numbers will be mailed out to runners to arrive early next week. This is due to the Greens of Gretna being closed and no suitable location available to pick up your numbers on the Race morning. To guarantee you receive your number by post you will need to be signed up by Wednesday 26th @ midnight.

Anyone signing up from Thursday 27th Jan to Thursday 3rd Feb will be classed as a late entry who can collect their number at the front of The Greens of Gretna, from the Late Entry Gazebo

LATE ENTRIES

Will be available on the day priced at £22.00 & £20.00

BUSES

Will be running from 8.40am to 9.40am approximately in order to get runners to the start line in time from the finish area at Kingmoor Park.

TOILETS

There will be 10 portoloos at the start location at the Greens of Gretna for all runners. Please note that with many runners arriving at the start area at the same time there will be toilet Queues. Be patient! They soon go down 🙌

ADVICE / IDEAS

All runners are welcome to get themselves to the start area. The buses from the finish are just an option. There is suitable parking at the Gretna Gateway overflow car park at the Greens if people get lifts to that start. Those giving lifts can also drive to the finish in good time to watch friends or family. (Via motorway) So they could realistically watch the start and the finish.

With the Greens closed it may be cold at the start line so wear a bin bag or an old jumper or something at the start. We will collect any left over clothes and take them back to the finish for people.

KEY RACE INFORMATION PACK

Every runner will receive all key run information by email by Thursday this week. This will also be added to the website.

All in all the changes including a later start time and mailed out Race numbers is a positive for those taking part.
