If you feel like gaming is taking over your daily life and you’re not sure what to do, here are some things that can help 🎮

VACCINES:
✔️protect you and your child from many serious and potentially deadly diseases
✔️protect other people in your community – by helping to stop diseases spreading to people who cannot have vaccines.
✔️undergo rigorous safety testing before being introduced – they’re also constantly monitored for side effects after being introduced
sometimes cause mild side effects that will not last long – some children may feel a bit unwell and have a sore arm for 2 or 3 days
✔️reduce or even get rid of some diseases – if enough people are vaccinated

#CountyLines drug dealers will often use children as young as 12 to transport drugs across the country. Given that they will be too young to drive, these young people will usually travel on public transport to get from A to B.

During a time when we are being told to stay home to protect lives, we should be extra aware of children travelling by themselves and questioning their motives for doing so.

We all have a responsibility to help protect our most vulnerable. By being able to spot a few tell-tale signs, you could be saving a young person's life. For example:

Have you see a child travelling long distance alone?
Do they seem unfamiliar with the local area?
Are they travelling at unusual hours? (late at night or early in the morning)
Are they travelling the same route on a regular basis?
Are they deliberately avoiding authority figures such as police or members of staff?

If you see something that doesn't feel right, or looks suspicious, concerning a child or young person - trust your instincts. They could be a victim of County Lines.

You can report to the police by calling 101. Always dial 999 in an emergency. Or by calling Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.

At a time where we are being asked to only travel for essential reasons such as work, we need to be questioning whether it is normal to see a young person travelling by themselves, now more than ever.

#CountyLines drug dealers are operating in our region using children to transport illegal substances from one end of the country to the other. These children are often too young to drive and will travel via our public transport networks, including trains.

We're urging those working in transport hubs, on trains, taxis and buses to know the signs of child criminal exploitation. Trust your instincts - if you feel like something isn't quite right, if you see a child travelling long distances alone, possibly at strange hours, and avoiding the police or a ticket officer, they could be a victim of criminal exploitation.

Signs can include:
• A child, sometimes as young as 12, travelling alone
• Child travelling alone during school hours or unusual hours (early morning, late at night)
• Child travelling an unusually long distance alone by taxi and paying for the journeys in cash
• Child seemingly not familiar with the local area, and/or with a different accent
• Children travelling the same route on a regular basis (once or twice a week) via train or bus
• Receiving excessive texts or phone calls
• Deliberately avoiding authority figures such as police officers or railway staff
• Some may be with older individuals who are purchasing train or bus tickets for them, or giving them money for tickets.

Call 101 to report child criminal exploitation to the police. Always call 999 in an emergency. You can also report 100% anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
