Hello. We are looking for someone to help our charity, Charlotte's Tandems. We lend tandems to anyone with a disability or additional need, so that they can cycle wherever, whenever and with whomever they like. We have two tandems that are currently based in ROI and we need to relocate them and start lending them from NI instead. Could you post our request on your social media? Details about us can be found at CharlottesTandems.co.uk

Join us to hear about the barriers to walking experienced by people with a visual impairment, and help us to identify strategies to help. During these workshops we will present the results of our recent research, conducted by a team from Queen’s University Belfast and Guide Dogs NI. We will describe the barriers to walking identified by people with visual impairment, their families and others in supportive roles, and a range of strategies that could be helpful in overcoming these barriers. We need your help to identify and co-produce the best strategies to overcome these barriers. If you are an older person (50 years or older) living with a visual impairment, a family member of an older person with a visual impairment, or you are involved in a healthcare or supportive role (professional or lay) then we would like your help.

There will be 3 online workshops, delivered via Zoom at the following times:

Monday 22nd November at 2pm – 4pm
Tuesday 23rd November at 7pm – 9pm
Thursday 25th November at 9.30 – 11.30am
There will also be a face-to-face workshop in Belfast on a date to be confirmed
