I really enjoyed a recent call and I’m so glad the conversation and shared insights were helpful. I truly appreciate these kind words I received and look forward to potentially working together in the future. 🙏
It’s not our skill… or our experience… or even our circumstances that hold us back.
It’s our mindset.
I’m talking about those quiet stories we tell ourselves:
“I’m not ready yet.”
“What if I fail?”
“Someone else would do it better.”
“I’ll move forward once things settle down.”
And the truth is… those thoughts feel true.
They feel protective.
But all they’re really doing is keeping you exactly where you are.
The moment you get curious about those thoughts instead of believing them, everything shifts.
Because you realise it’s a pattern you can change.
And when you do…
You unlock the version of you that acts, that applies, that speaks up, that leads.
Maybe it’s worth assessing if you have a mindset that you’ve outgrown.
That idea that you need a ‘Senior’ title first is the biggest myth holding back brilliant health professionals.
If you’ve coordinated rotas, mentored juniors, and led critical care briefs. That is leadership in action, not just ‘doing your job’.
Yet, when a Clinical Lead or Band 7 role opens up, the voice of doubt tells you: “I don’t have the experience.”
That self-rejection is costing you the role you deserve. You do not need a management title to prove you can lead a team. You just need the framework to articulate your current impact using the language of senior management.
Stop letting the ‘title myth’ keep you stuck. Watch this video to see how I help health professionals reframe their experience to excel in interviews and secure those leadership positions.

It’s incredible to see how many of you are investing in yourselves.
But the next step is just as important:
Can you translate that learning into interview impact?
Anyone can say they’ve learned about delegation, motivation, communication, or coaching.
But interviewers want to know what that looks like in your practice.
Your stories.
Your examples.
Your leadership thinking.
That’s where your learning becomes your competitive advantage.
Save this if you’re preparing for interviews,
and remember, the qualification doesn’t get you the job…
your ability to apply it does.
You know the answers. You have the skills. But the moment the interviewer asks for a strategic example, your mind goes blank, the overwhelm hits, and you feel rejected before you even leave the room. It’s such a horrible feeling.
The problem isn’t that you lack examples; it’s that your great examples aren’t properly mapped to the core leadership competencies they are testing. This creates panic and leads to those ‘freeze up’ moments.
I help you stop that cycle. We turn your scattered experiences into compelling, tailored answers so you can walk in with clarity and confidence, not doubt and panic.
Ready to stop freezing up and start excelling?

Want to stand out in interviews?
It’s not about saying the “right things”
It’s about telling the right stories
• Clear.
• Purposeful.
• Impactful.
The stories that show how you think as a leader.
Not just what you’ve done.
That’s what gets remembered.
And that’s what gets you hired.

You can’t fix team morale but you can certainly influence it even if you don’t have the title.
Start with the small things that actually matter:
🏅Create small wins. This will help your team see and feel progress again.
🙏 Show genuine gratitude by naming what’s going well, even if it’s tiny.
🗣️ Ask, “What would help most right now?” People feel valued when someone cares enough to ask
Leadership isn’t about having authority.
It’s about helping people feel seen, supported, and listened to in tough moments.
Follow for more simple leadership actions you can take, even before you get the title.
You may think that being the fixer might feel helpful, but it actually teaches your team to wait for you, rely on you, and avoid thinking for themselves.
And that’s not leadership.
Instead, try asking:
• “What do you think?” — this signals trust and builds your teams confidence
• “What options do you see?” — helps them to problem-solve and become solution focused
• “What’s your next step?” — moves them into taking ownership and action
When you shift from giving solutions to guiding thinking, you go from fixer → developer.
And that is real, sustainable leadership.
This grows capability, self-belief, independence and reduces risk of a high dependent team that don’t take action without approval.
Comment ‘COACH’ if you love this leadership style.
If your meetings are basically everyone going around giving updates… that’s not a meeting, that’s an email.
Want to come across more confident, organised, and leadership-ready?
Run your meetings like this:
✔ ONE clear purpose — so everyone knows exactly why they’re there
✔ THREE key priorities — no more drifting off into side quests
✔ Action-focused decisions — every discussion ends with a name + a deadline
When you do this, people leave knowing what’s happening next, not leaving mentally drained, bored, or questioning why they showed up.
Save this if chairing your next team meeting is part of growing your leadership skills.

A recent client left with:
✨ Clear leadership stories
✨ A stronger understanding of their strengths
✨ A STAR structure they can apply to any question
✨ And the confidence to show up as the leader they already are
If you’ve been second-guessing yourself before interviews, you don’t have to do this alone.
Sometimes you just need someone to help you get there.
DM “90” if you are ready for a transformation in your interview performance.
Sometimes the most powerful preparation isn’t about more theory or more interview answers…
it’s about actually living your leadership before the role arrives.
That’s what changed everything for me.
I started practising it in my everyday role.
Because when the right opportunity came up, I didn’t have to perform leadership.
I was already leading.
And the examples, were current, relevant and impactful, therefore I was able to articulate with confidence.
