As we celebrate our volunteers this week.
Charlie wanted to share his story.

Hi, my name is Charlie, I am 27 and have been volunteering with the scope basildon team for almost 5 years now.
It is a honor to be able to contribute my time to such a wonderful charity cause and community.
Working here gives me such a sense of purpose and reason.I have met some really lovely people and have learned and gained new skills that will stay with me for life.
I will always be a part of scope, it is who I am and always will be

At Scope we are here to create a equal future with disabled people.Last year our employment services helped more than 1000 disabled people with advice and support to get into,and thrive in paid work.
None of this would have been possible without the funds raised by our amazing volunteers.

Hi my name is dave.
I am 72 years old , and volunteer at Scope basildon.
I have been here for just over 3 years, and volunteer 5 days a week.
I am really happy to support the charity with my spare time, and it gives me satisfaction knowing the help and support I give is for disabled people.
I look forward to working on the sales floor, speaking to customers who i now know many off them who come in regularly, and working with other volunteers who have now become my friends.
