We’re grateful for the continued support we’ve received from Scottish Enterprise and Scottish Development International. And we can't thank them enough for this feature article which puts us in the spotlight.

Additional support from GlobalScot and Skills Development Scotland has helped Jbs strengthen the team, with many of our people coming through University of Aberdeen, North East Scotland College and Peterhead Academy initiatives.

While oil and gas remains a core part of our work, Jbs has diversified into renewables, space, industrial and defence sectors. That approach has seen us deliver projects in more than 80 countries – all supported from our base in Peterhead.

Jo McIntosh, Sales & Marketing Director at Jbs, said: "We always wanted to be an international business. We knew that diversification was key to our business’s ongoing success. We are extremely grateful for the support we’ve received from a number of organisations, including Scottish Enterprise.

β€œOne of the great aspects of working here is that someone could be at a local biogas plant one day, the next they could be at a space facility in another part of the world. The key benefit of Scotland’s multi-skilled talent pool is its capability to easily switch between high-value sectors.”

Marion Murray, SDI Specialist in Global Trade & Energy Transition, said: β€œJbs is an absolute pleasure to work with as part of our international portfolios. The company is proactive with new innovative ideas, and is a credit to our supply chain in Scotland."

In addition, Jbs is also taking action to reduce its carbon footprint through leaner practices supported by the Scottish Enterprise Net Zero Academy and Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service.

We have installed 194 solar panels (generating 50kW), introduced LED lighting, modernised plant and equipment and upgraded our fleet. As a result, Jbs is now 63% energy self-sufficient and tracking key sustainability metrics through a live dashboard.

Fabrication and engineering are at the heart of everything we do at Jbs.

From our globally recognised screw conveyor systems and patented Sea Axe controlled flow excavation innovation to advanced blast containment systems used in critical energy and space operations – it’s our in-house engineering capability that makes it all possible.

This core strength means Jbs can take a project from concept to completion - designed, built and delivered by one team.

Our specialists design, manufacture and supply certified manual and automated systems for blast protection - a capability no other company offers as a fully integrated solution.

Whether it's subsea, energy, space or high-spec industrial environments, Jbs is trusted to deliver with precision, pace and technical expertise - across six continents and more than 80 countries.

That track record is built in our workshops, tested offshore and proven in the field.

At Jbs, we’re problem solvers - and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

In recent weeks, all four of our divisions have been extremely busy:

πŸ”Ά Our Sea Axe controlled flow excavation system was deployed to assist with the removal of embedded pile structures as part of a wider offshore project.

πŸ”Ά Blast containment solutions were delivered on a critical operation to reduce risk and ensure safety during high-pressure testing.

πŸ”Ά We’re in discussions with a global company that could open up a new sector and market for our screw conveyors.

πŸ”Ά And our fabrication team pulled out all the stops to turn around a large-scale project, helping our partner meet a significant contract deadline.

Across excavation, safety, solids handling and fast-turnaround fabrication projects - we thrive on being the team clients trust when the pressure is on.

If there’s a challenge to solve, we’re ready.

Let’s talk.

Engage hosted its very first Round Table event today, where exciting plans for Eden Project Scotland were shared with invited guests.

Run in association with Eden Project, the group heard from Caishlan Sweeney, Project Engagement Manager, about the latest news on the Β£130m development, earmarked for opening in Dundee around 2030.

Over a light lunch, the discussion was then opened up round the table, with invaluable insight from key industry names in and around the city.

Held in the fantastic surroundings of Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc Hub, conversations were led by host Lee Harrow, Communications Director at Engage.

Views were exchanged on how businesses can collaborate to play a key role in the project moving forward in everything from engaging local communities to sustainability and how the area – and Scotland as a whole – can benefit from the addition of this exciting project.

Tourism and how Dundee can establish itself as a longer stay destination, ticket pricing, incentivising green transport and ensuring connectivity with other parts of the city were all discussed, while looking at amazing images of the plans, which were approved by Dundee City Council last year.

We imagined looking 10 years down the line following the venue’s opening, sharing optimism and excitement at the impact it can have.

It truly is a remarkable project with opportunities to come for the whole country.

Huge thanks in particular to key speaker Caishlan Sweeney and hosts Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc, and gratitude to all attendees who took time out of their busy schedules to bring their own individual insights to the event.
