SPOOKY SPRINGHILL
Halloween can't be fun without a little scare
So give us a like and a cheeky share
As this is the only place you will see
Tears and laughs and everything you fear
I continue to honour my mums memory through the Pennywise costume.
You may or may not have seen Pennywise at a certain shopping complex recently... π
Living for the fear! And hoping that we still have that spooky lasting memory with you all, when all Hallows eve comes back around π
If you have any pictures or videos from our spooktacular halloweens, I'd love for you to drop them in the comments please π»
(I sign on every year and spout the same nostalgia; I miss my mum, and I miss Halloween. I just miss it all and it kills me that I'm in a top floor flat unable to continue. I'm spookcited and sad all at once)
Currently on the phone to my niece, chatting about all our former Halloween escapades.
It's weird to reminisce with a 12 year old; she misses the craziness as much as I do π
Have a great Halloween everyone, it won't be the same (for us) but we'll always remember the screams and scares x
Sad but wholesome feels at the house tonight.
Seeing folks pointing and reminiscing of being chased by my human props; looking up in sheer awe of the laughs we shared, upset by the now emptiness that remains.
I extend my thank you's again to you all.
2 years on and we're still the spookiest memory around. π To quote someone I spoke to tonight "Northfield will never be the same again" π

Highlights of Northern Frights 2023
It'll only be natural for me to look back on the years as tomorrow approaches. 2 years gone by and Halloween remains a huge part of me, but not quite what it used to be. π when I walk into a shop I have to remind myself that phoning my mum to tell her the Hallo stock is here, isn't something I can do anymore. π
I'm not quite sure what to do with myself tbh.
I envision myself watching Scream and Halloween, fairy lights on, and having a Chinese. But in reality I'll probably end up at the house just to give my mum a nod of appreciation... the house which now seems like a derelict carcass (Yes it is still empty. Thanks city council, NOT). I wait for the days when a new family move in, and I'll creep past to see if they so much as put out a pumpkin! π It would be weird not seeing anything at all, so let's hope they do. Big boots to fill!
Anyway. This year I've been channeling my Spooky energy into local horror company Northern Frights where you may have seen me roleplay as Pennywise, a ZomBarbie, and even a mean prison guard. It's been great to live out the Spooky Springhill days through Laura's company, doing many events of fear. Things will be moving forward to the Shire though as for some reason folks of Aberdeen don't book tickets in advance π€·π»ββοΈ it's a real shame, but it's Aberdeen's loss.
I guess all there's left to say for this year's season is Happy Halloween π stay safe, but give eachother a good scare on my behalf π

It's nice knowing I'm not the only Hallo Horror Queen in Aberdeen π This event is going to be WILD!
Ever had a night camping under the stars, roasting marshmallows and thought "you know what would make this night better? A cannibal cult and serial killers trying to kill me before the night is over".
Well now your dreams can come true! Thanks to my wonderful imagination, Camp Fear is coming to Aden Country Park on September 1st. This is a strictly over 18's event.
This event is limited to 100 people, and our advanced sales to our mailing list sold 28 since last night. Tickets are now on sale to everyone else, so don't miss out!
Need to know:
You will need your own camping gear.
There will be a safe area if the event becomes too much.
The event Opens at 6 pm and finishes at 2 am.
Add on the option of staying in the campsite overnight (the event will be over, by this point, but there are still the ghosts from the grounds)
There are on-site toilets.
There is on-site security hired for this event - they will not protect you from our killers, but they are there to protect us from you lot!
Our actors will not touch you. You will not touch our actors.
A waiver will have to be signed after booking.
You will be doing a lot of walking around the woods, so donβt wear your nicest clothes.
Wrap up warm!
You may get covered in blood (not real - sorry)
There will be a safe word.
Hope you've all had a Horrifying Halloween π
I also hope you've thought of us with a fond memory, as you knocked on doors tonight.
Been a different one for me this year.
Its been tough I wont lie, and felt so weird not hosting at the house.
The street itself was so quiet, eerie almost. But... some of you who walked past (at the right moment) would have seen Pennywise trick or treating with Mini Michael Myers π Yes, that was us. And yes we were walking around Northfield/Mastrick, and then driving around to the Halloween theme tune.
Thanks for the reception with that - we felt famous π€£ - it meant alot, and we made some good frights in honour of my mum. I'd like to think she's had fun with us in spirit. Anyway, enjoy the rest of your Halloween π creep it real and don't eat too much sweets!
P.S this video is from 2 years ago when Pennywise made his debut. Its one of many kodak moments, the best of Spooky Springhill. We'd love it if you'd comment with your pictures/videos of SS from over the years
