A EU-funded project about reducing textile waste and developing textile recycling processes.

11/06/2026

Registration for the Nordic-Baltic Textile Circularity Forum 2026 is now open! Join us for two days of insightful panel discussions, presentations from innovators, an exhibition, and valuable networking opportunities!

📅 When: 7–8 October 2026
📍 Where: Riga, Latvia

The forum will bring together textile circularity stakeholders—including waste management companies, collectors, sorters, investors, brands, designers, start-ups, researchers, policymakers, academia, and civil society—to address both European and regional dynamics:

🗓️ 7 October will center around the work of tExtended, with a focus on high-potential results across different segments of the value chain, digital tool demonstrations, and necessary pre-conditions to reducing textile waste in the EU by 80%.

🗓️ 8 October will focus on the Nordic-Baltic region, featuring discussions on the current state of textile circularity, a policy debate on EPR, and a conversation on future actions powered by the Nordic-Baltic Textile Transition Group.

Practical, market-ready solutions will be featured by pioneering companies like De Kringloopwinkel, Purfi, Têxteis J.F.Almeida, S.A., and Cyclothe. While the full program is being finalised, you can already view our first confirmed speakers here: https://textended.eu/2026/05/12/final-event-nordic-baltic-textile-circularity-forum-2026/

Please note: attendance is free, but travel or accommodation costs are not covered—though we have secured 20-30% discounts from several nearby and well-connected hotels thanks to the Riga Investment and Tourism Agency. As forum venue capacity is limited, our team will confirm your spot within one week and provide hotel booking instructions with the discount codes.

🤝 This space to meet, discuss, and get inspired is made possible through the resources invested by our two organizing initiatives:
-tExtended – a Horizon Europe-funded 4-year project working towards a systemic transformation in textile circularity across the EU.
-The Nordic-Baltic Textile Circularity project – a regional collaboration project funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Offices in the Baltic States (Ziemeļvalstu Ministru padomes birojs Latvijā, Šiaurės ministrų tarybos biuras Lietuvoje, and Põhjamaade Ministrite Nõukogu esindus Eestis).

We hope to welcome you to Riga in October!

👕As part of tExtended's demonstrator, our partners Lounais-Suomen Jätehuolto Oy (LSJH) has been involved in several activities to recycle post-consumer textiles.

Today we start with talking about the first one, their collaboration with the Finnish designer Rolf Ekroth in which post-consumer textiles provided by LSJH have been transformed into high-fashion garments to support his Encore collection for the Copenhagen Fashion Week 2025.
