Sound has always been important to me.
When I was younger, bands like Pink Floyd made me curious, not in a “I want to sound like this” way, but more like how is this even possible? I just wanted to understand where those sounds came from, how music could feel so alive.
That curiosity led me to synths and to this Korg Monopoly that I bought when I was 16. Instant crush. It’s been with me ever since. I’ve always used it in a very direct, organic way, almost like playing in a band but through techno. Recording everything live, with small mistakes, tiny timing drifts. Most of the time from start to finish, layering sounds until it feels right.

My Story
Paul Roux is a French songwriter, composer, musician, producer and DJ. He is a multi-instrumentalist who plays guitar, keyboards bass, percussions and who can sing. The composer does not feel restricted to one musical genre and his approach to electronic music includes various sources of inspiration spanning from techno to blues, rap, trip-hop as well as to film soundtracks.
He is also known as « Memorial Home », the name under which he produced 4 EPs that also include some remixes made by some prominent contemporary electronic artists such as Luigi Tozzi, Kas:st, Jonas Kopp, Edit Select, AWB, Kmyle or Reggy Van Oers.
In February 2018, he released his first album « World », that Mixmag magazine places next to Radiohead, Massive Attack, Nicolas Jaar and Ostgut Ton.
Paul started composing during his childhood and was quickly determined to become a full-time musician. When he turned 18, he thus decided to begin his career and moved to Barcelona where he was producing music every day with great passion and intensity from the tiny studio he had built in his flat.
