My fingers are very sore today, though, from wire-wrapping each bead individually. Phew, that was a lot of work!

Last weekend's vintage market was the best! I was lucky enough to have my cousin over from the UK and we made some amazing finds.
..like this beautiful red transferware bowl that she gave to me as a gift. I love it! It's perfect for the ripe juicy cherries I bought at the farmer's market yesterday.

Jars these big - and with their lids - are very hard to come by.

I love brocantes, did I ever tell you that?

This little painting is one of my absolute favourite vintage finds. It is sweet and cheerful, and it has made me smile every day since I found it in a steet market in Lyon.

Today it will be moving on to its new home and to be honest, it will be hard to part with it. But that's what I love about vintage treasures - they pass from hand to hand so that everyone has a chance to enjoy them for a while.

I hope its owner loves it every bit as much as I do!

I have a lot of fabric scraps here at home. And I mean a lot...

I hate throwing them in the bin so I've been finding ways to give them new life... I made these little creatures from grain sack scraps, patched with old ticking squares, and stuffed with a bunch of scraps cut up into teeny, tiny pieces.
