Golf is actually really easy

Just hit every fairway, every green… and make the putts.
Not sure why people struggle with this game 😌

Last video was an aggressive play.
This one is the complete opposite.

Par 3, 210m downwind but gusty.
Going long here = big trouble.

So this time I chose a defensive option:
6 iron, trying to land 5m short max on purpose to avoid a tough downhill shot.

Didn’t catch as much wind as expected, but it left me in the perfect spot.
Easy up, stress-free par.

That’s the balance.
Knowing when to attack… and when your ego wants you to attack. 👀

Thought I hit a great drive… ended up with a tree right in my line 😅

Two options:
– lay up with a 9 iron
– take on a 5 iron stinger, slight cut, and try to reach the green

Decided to go for it.

Hit the green (just), left myself a tough chip… put it to 1.2m and made the birdie. 👊

Sometimes you have to be aggressive.
Sometimes it pays off.

Would you have played it safe or gone for it? 👀

Starting to think the birdies forgot my tee time.

And then suddenly
3 holes, 3 birdies.

That’s golf.
You stay patient, keep doing the right things… and sometimes it all shows up at once.

Moral of the story:
never panic after a few quiet holes. The run might be just around the corner. 😁 👊

Putting philosophy 🎯

I always try to keep the same mindset on the greens:
good read, good speed , good commitment, and accept the result.

Putting is about patience, discipline and trusting the process… even when nothing seems to drop.

At the end of the day you just have to apply it.

Or… you can also take inspiration from philosophy sometimes.

Three chip trajectories I use all the time in competition:

• Standard chip / ball in the middle of the stance and a bit on the toe .
• Low runner / ball back in the stance and more direct backswing
• High soft chip/ ball inside left feet and face a little bit open

For those 3 chips we want the hands to be inside the left thigh .

Each shot requires small adjustments in ball position and setup.

At the end I share a drill I like to use the towel under the arms to keep the body and arms working together.
