Sacré-Cœur seen from Musée d'Orsay

Since it's the best time of year for hiking in the mountains, I recently started sharing a hiking adventure in the Alps on my YouTube channel. It's a journey through the Vallée Étroite, starting from Bardonecchia and heading all the way to the Mont Thabor Refuge, located at the foot of the mountain of the same name.
It's basically a kind of mountain “walk” that I did with a backpack packed to the brim (tent, cameras, some food, etc.) so it's not about extreme trekking, trail running, or any other ultra-physical challenge. 😀 However, it is full of incredible landscapes, beautiful flowers and plants. The route can also provide some excellent physical training, so you can take it as a suggestion for that too.
I divided the three-day mountain adventure into several episodes, so that I wouldn't end up with one excessively long film.
This is the first episode, covering the route between Bardonecchia and the first refuge, I Re Magi. The route is shown from the car in the video, but we actually did it on foot, on the first day of the adventure.

On YouTube: I continue exploring the Latin Quarter.
This time, I chose a type of Parisian walk that I find extremely interesting: I start from a central area and move in a straight line towards the outskirts. In this way, you can notice the gradual changes that appear as you move further away from the city center.
In this film, we walk from the Panthéon to the entrance of the Chinatown area, at Place d'Italie.
Indeed, I found these shoes hanging high up on a wire. Similar installations can be found in other places in Paris as well. To discover where I found these ones, watch the film with subtitles enabled.

After visiting Tours, the capital of the Loire Valley, we are returning to Paris on the YouTube channel. In the next two videos, I will start exploring a traditional area full of distinctive Parisian charm that I have long wanted to present. This is the Latin Quarter.
I begin at its edge with a short street, Rue Soufflot, which connects the Jardin du Luxembourg and the Panthéon, effectively representing one of the “entrances” to the Latin Quarter.
For me, this is an emblematic little street, as it was the first one that visually caught my attention during my early “photographic walks” through Paris many years ago. Its strongly Parisian atmosphere, combined with the imposing presence of the Panthéon at one end, created a special feeling that led me to take an important photograph.
By the way: do you know why it is called the “Latin Quarter”? On YouTube, I continue my exploration of Tours, one of the main cities of the famous Loire Valley, renowned for the many castles found throughout the region. In this film, I present an old bridge in the city known as the "Wire Bridge."
When I crossed it, the region was experiencing a period of heavy rainfall, and the river level was exceptionally high, covering islands that are normally visible and flooding the bases of many trees.
On a more philosophical level, I like this film because it captures the contrast between the forces of nature and a fragile man-made structure: an old wire bridge, seemingly vulnerable in the face of such a powerful river.
This idea was not particularly emphasized during filming; it came to me later, after the editing was completed. I mention it here because I know that some viewers enjoy reading between the lines as much as watching the images. 🙂

On my YouTube channel, I continue exploring the city of Tours, considered the "capital" of the Loire Valley, famous for its castles.

In this film, after a few steps through the city, we enter the cathedral, a true kingdom of light and color thanks to the stained glass windows. The interior is one of the most immersive presentations I have created so far: I tried to reproduce as faithfully as possible what I saw, so that the viewer feels as if they are there, following exactly what caught my attention at the time of filming.

The cover image is created with AI. It is not a photo taken by me, but it captures a real phenomenon: the way light, passing through the stained glass windows, settles in vivid tones on the benches, walls, or floor. It is the kind of detail that any photographer should try to capture, but which is difficult to achieve at the same time as filming. I am still working on a solution to combine photography and videography in a single process.

Although I am not a big fan of AI-generated images, the phenomenon is very powerful and has some useful aspects. I am trying to find a way to combine AI and real images in a constructive way. I am already developing ideas that I will explore in the coming period.

The current films are just one stage. A larger system is being built behind them, which will become clearer over time.
