No gears. No disc brakes. No mercy.
Just me, a bow tie, and a vintage road bike battling the 33km Caen time trial route — the same stage the pros are riding this year.

Think Pogačar’s nervous? He should be.
I had a speed wobble, traffic lights, and gravel. Oh, and the ghost of Jules “The Steam Engine” Moreau was watching over me with a pipe and a frown.

This weekend, my daughter and I took on the 35KM route at Anjou Vélo Vintage in France’s most charming retro cycling event.

We brought two old French bikes back to life for this ride — and they just about survived the heat!
