scammers are now posting adds under Rental company names and putting there cell number.....once they receive money they do call forwarding so means they will do callforwarding to actual owner of Rental company and exhausted customers call actual directors that we paid for rental and waiting.

While booking Rental cars ensure below is requested:

1. Company Mpaisa details should be registered under Rental company name if not request for company business registration,card or company ID.

2. Ensure you read Rental Agreement properly before signing, demand receipt or invoice.

3. If you are unsure if that Rental company do exist contact Fiji Rental Cars Assistance Group on 991 1424 for further information.

As you all know festive season is just here, it's a humble request you choose your customers wisely before renting out your cars as we are seeing everyday accidents are happening.

Ensure we get enough information from hirers like DL, Work ID and for overseas customers DL, Passport Copy, date of arrival stamp, ensure Rentals are thoroughly checked before giving or receiving.

Please ensure first thing before doing payments or deposits to any Rental companies check thoroughly if that Rental company do exist before you are scammed. Please do ask for Rental Agreement and ensure you read and agree with terms and conditions before signing up together with a copy of receipt. As you all are aware as per National Law we have zero tolerance for any Drinking and driving drivers or misusing Rental cars.
Fiji Rental Cars Assistance Group has its own viber platform all over Fiji where we do black list on bad drivers and circulate it all over Fiji and to ensure that particular bad driver doesn't gets Rental cars any where in Fiji.

All rental vehicles that are due for fitness / passing will be inspected first by PSV and you can also take your vehicle to Nausori for passing and see Winnie who will be able to assist your further with the preliminary inspection of your rental vehicle.

This will be the process moving forward as LTA is trying to maintain the standard of safety and comfort for rental vehicles within Fiji whilst awaiting Board decision on the review of age limit policy.

It's a scam and I am pleading with members not to fall on fake adds with these rental companies.If you are not sure check on Social media or double check with families and friends if that particular Rental company do exist.PLEASE BEWARE..

Bula To All Rental Operators,

As we FRCAG together with FRCA had a successful meeting at LTA Valelevu in regards to Vehicle age group issue.

We have tabled our issue and LTA CEO together with his board members will have a meeting.

They will draw a line where used vehicles can be passed as Rentals for 5 years and than every year will be reviewed if it's road worthy and at the same time should be upto Rental standard.

There are some downfall where our members have some vehicles which is not road worthy and Rental standard.
Just because of few we all are victimized.

Thanks a lot to LTA CEO, his PSV Team and other members for listening our voice to take it up further with board members.

We will have another meeting after LTA CEO and his PSV team have a meet up with Board Members.
