Last Saturday, our Karoko Rugby team delivered a strong performance and secured a 𝟐𝟓–𝟏𝟐 win against the Tukavesi team! 🔥🙌

As part of their ongoing fundraising efforts, our Karoko Rugby team has been actively 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 for families in the village who have hired them to do the work.

This hands-on task work is helping raise funds to support the team’s participation in upcoming rugby tournaments while also giving back to the community through honest labour and service. 💪

𝘓𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵, our 𝘒𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘰 𝘙𝘶𝘨𝘣𝘺 𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘮 came together for an overnight 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩 at the 𝐖𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥 as part of their ongoing preparation for upcoming tournaments and matches.

The camp focused on team bonding, discipline, and setting goals for the weeks ahead.

This 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, after their early training session, the boys took a refreshing dip at the 𝐓𝐨𝐛𝐮 𝐒𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢 𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐥 — a well-deserved cool down in one of our village’s natural gems. 🌿💧

This afternoon, our 𝘒𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘰 𝘙𝘶𝘨𝘣𝘺 𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘮 and 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘒𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘬𝘰 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘊𝘭𝘶𝘣 held their 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 as part of a new collaboration to work together moving forward.

The meeting took place at the 𝐖𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥 and focused on building unity, strengthening support systems, and planning joint initiatives that will benefit both the team and the wider community.

Today, Thursday 10th July 2025, our Karoko Rugby team is out at Bucaiyavu Heights, carrying out compound maintenance work at the residence of Maria Pia & Kitione Mataniniu.

This is part of the team’s ongoing effort to raise funds to support their participation in the Buca Bay Rugby competitions and other team needs.

👏 Vina'a va'alevu to the Mataniniu family for the opportunity and support — and to our boys for their continued dedication, unity, and willingness to serve.

Today, Wednesday 9th July 2025, our Karoko Rugby team continued their fundraising efforts by planting another cassava patch near Serene in Karoko Village. 🙌

These hardworking young men continue to show that teamwork goes beyond the field — serving our community while raising funds to support the team’s journey.

Today, the Karoko Rugby team took part in a meaningful community task — 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 from the ripping sites to the proposed site of the future home for the 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐚 𝐐𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐮.

This home, which is yet to be built, was part of Mr. Qiolevu’s plans before his passing at the young age of 24. His family now hopes to fulfill his dream by constructing the home in his honour.

This act of service by the team is a heartfelt tribute to a life gone too soon and a show of support for his family as they carry his legacy forward.

As part of the team’s ongoing efforts to raise funds for the club, Karoko Rugby carried out contract work today for Mr. Navitalai Qaloiwasa, who currently resides in Australia.

The team planted a cassava patch for Mr. Qaloiwasa’s family, who live here in the village. This initiative not only supports the team financially but also strengthens our connection with the wider Karoko community — both at home and abroad.
