EP:n viimeinen biisi ’Take It out on Me’ on julkaisun vanhimpia sävellyksiä, jonka työnimi oli aikoinaan “Buttkick”. Biisi on tähän mennessä yhtyeen raskaimpia. Seuraavan kerran Crossroadsin keikalla pitti pyörimään tämän rallin tahtiin! 🔥

Biisin sanoma on yksinkertaisesti se, että vastaanotetaan vihaa ja turhautumista, vaikkei siihen ole syyllinen.

The final track on the EP is ’Take It out on Me’, one of the earliest compositions included, originally titled ‘Buttkick’ in its demo version. It’s one of the band’s heaviest tracks to date. Next time at a Crossroads gig, expect the pit to get going! 🔥

The message of the song is simple: you end up receiving anger and frustration, even though you’re not to blame.

EP:n nimikkobiisi lähtee käyntiin vauhdilla. Progemainen ja laskeva riffi vievät kohti säkeistöä, jossa vauhti ei hidastu.

C-osasta löytyy hitaampaa fiilistelyä pianon ja atmosfäärisen saundimaailman saattelemana. Kitarasoolo tulee sisään ja se vie biisiä takaisin finaali kertsiä.

Keep On Rising on muistutus siitä, että synkimmistäkin hetkistä pääsee yli ajan kanssa
ja sen eteen on taisteltava. “Ei jäädä tuleen makaamaan” voisi hyvin summata biisin
sanoman.

The EP’s title track kicks off at full speed. A proggy and followed by a heavy descending
riff leads into the verse, where the pace doesn’t let up.

The bridge brings in a slower, more atmospheric section with piano and ambient
sounds. The guitar solo enters and leads the song back to the final chorus.

Keep On Rising serves as a reminder that even the darkest moments can be overcome
with time, but it’s something you have to fight for. “Don’t dwell on it” could sum up the message of the song.

Nameless One lähtee liikkeelle mystisen hiljaisella introlla. Heikki antaa lähtölaukauksen rumpufillillä ja biisi lähtee liikkeelle. Keskivaiheilla seikkaillaan useamman riffin kera, ja biisin loppupuolelta löytyy EP:n ensimmäinen kitarasoolo.

Biisi on lyriikoiltaan EP:n synkemmästä päästä. Siinä pohdiskellaan menetyksiä ja niiden lopullisuutta.

Nameless One begins with a mysterious and quiet intro. Heikki gives the starting signal
with a drum fill, and the song gets underway. In the middle section, multiple riffs are explored, and towards the end of the track, you’ll find the EP’s first guitar solo.

Lyrically, this is one of the darkest tracks on the EP. It reflects on loss and its finality.

Do Or Die hidastaa EP:n menoa ja se alkaa cleanillä kitaranäppäilyllä. Intron lyriikka “Life goes by in a blink of an eye” tiivistää hyvin biisin sanoman. Aika menee nopeasti ja tehdään sitä mistä nautitaan eikä katsota taaksepäin. ”Do or Die” asenteella. 🔥

Polkeva riffi pamahtaa käyntiin, joka toimii myös kertosäkeiden pohjana.

C-osassa päästään soundtrack-tyyppiseen fiilistelyyn, jossa Artturilla on kädet ja jalat
käytössä koskettimien osalta. 🎹

Do Or Die slows down the pace of the EP and begins with clean guitar picking. The opening lyric, “Life goes by in a blink of an eye”, neatly sums up the message of the song. Time passes quickly, so enjoy what you do and don’t look back. With a ”Do or Die” attitude. 🔥

A driving riff kicks in, forming the foundation for the choruses as well.

The bridge delivers a soundtrack-like atmosphere, where Artturi’s hands and feet are in full action on the keyboards. 🎹

Nosturi, Helsinki ⚡️ EP:n toisessa biisissä nostetaan reippaasti tempoa. Hell to Payn aikana myös Artturi pääsee avaamaan piiput. 🤘Keskivaiheilta eteenpäin löytyy käänteitä mitä ei välttämättä odottaisi tämän hevirallin alussa.

Hell to Pay käsittelee irtautumista negatiivisista vaikutteista ja alamäkeen vievistä kierteistä. Tulevaisuus ei välttämättä aina näytä siltä mitä on alun perin ajatellut, m***a parempaan huomiseen voi silti itse vaikuttaa.

Nosturi, Helsinki ⚡️ In the second track of the EP, the tempo picks up considerably. During Hell to Pay, Artturi also gets to open up the pipes. 🤘 From the middle onwards, there are twists you wouldn’t necessarily expect at the start of this heavy anthem.

Hell to Pay deals with breaking away from negative influences and visicous cycles. The future might not always look how you originally imagined, but you can still shape a better tomorrow yourself.

Moro jengi! Ajateltiin avata vähän uuden EP:n biisien taustaa ja rakennetta teille. ”Track by track” -sarja alkaa tästä! ➡️

Ensimmäinen biisi Eternal Road avaa EP:n soundtrack -tyyppisellä introlla. Bändi tulee
introon mukaan ja jatkaa samaa teemaa ja melodiaa. Tästä hypätään raskaaseen
pääriffiin ja biisi lähtee kunnolla käyntiin. Biisin käännekohta löytyy toisen kertsin
jälkeen, missä Tuukan bassokuvio nousee esiin.

Eternal Roadin sanoituksissa viitataan pitkään kestävään synkkään menneisyyteen,
jota paetaan keinolla millä hyvänsä.

Hey folks! We thought we’d share a bit about the background and structure of the songs on our new EP. The “Track by Track” series kicks off right here! ➡️

The opening track, Eternal Road, begins the EP with a soundtrack-like intro. The band
joins in after the intro, continuing the same theme and melody. From there, it transitions into a heavy main riff, and the song truly kicks off. The turning point of the track comes after the second chorus, where the bass comes to the forefront in a powerful way.

The lyrics of Eternal Road refer to a long-lasting, dark past that one tries to escape from by any means necessary.
