🌟Learning works best when it is designed with intention. A from our recent Moodle LMS Fundamentals training with the RBC.
The sessions combined ice-breaking to build participation, group discussion for peer learning, individual guidance to support different learning needs, and practical hands-on application using Moodle.
These same principles guide our work in cloud-based and gamified digital learning environments that learners can access anytime.

We kicked off a 2-day hands-on Moodle training this morning with *13 eLearning focal persons* from different divisions at Rwanda Biomedical Centre.
The focus is practical and beginner-friendly, building confidence in creating courses, organizing learning resources, setting basic quizzes, and understanding completion and certification, all through real practice on a demo course.
Learning by doing. Skills that stick. 💻✨

Last week, we attended the hosted by the Rwanda ICT Chamber—an inspiring space for leaders and innovators shaping Rwanda’s digital economy.
Key conversations on digital trust, EdTech, and scalable, data-driven systems reinforced one clear message: innovation creates impact when it’s built on trust and strong frameworks.
At One Step Consult, we’re excited to keep supporting future-ready digital learning through eLearning platform and content development. 🚀

We’ve been quietly working on something meaningful over the past weeks, a digital learning prototype designed in collaboration with the Rwanda Biomedical Centre Research, Innovation and Data science division.
Our goal was simple: explore how we can make health training more accessible, flexible, and practical for the teams doing the work every day. Even if it is in the early stage, the process taught us so much about the leaders dedication and vision that drive Rwanda’s health sector.
We are deeply grateful for the openness and guidance from the RBC team as we shaped the first version of this prototype platform. It reminded us that progress in digital health is always a shared effort built through partnership, patience, and alignment with national priorities.
As the Ministry of Health continues refining its direction for digital learning, we’re taking this as an opportunity to listen, learn, and align our contribution with the broader vision.
For now, we’re proud of what this prototype represents: collaboration, curiosity and a willingness to build and refine together.
We look forward to supporting Rwanda’s digital learning journey in any way we can, at the right time, and in the right alignment.

Micro-learning isn’t just an idea it’s already working in real health systems across Africa 🌍
📍 Rwanda: Community health workers trained with smartphone modules kept 98% of their knowledge even six months later.
📍 Kenya: Weekly SMS micro-lessons doubled community health promoters’ knowledge scores in just 12 weeks.
📍 South Africa: WhatsApp-based microlearning proved usable and effective for rural healthcare workers.
📍 Across Africa: Meta-analyses show SMS interventions significantly improve adherence and practice — even with basic phones.
Short, focused lessons are faster, cheaper, and proven to change behaviour where it matters most.
👉 Let’s talk about how One Step Learning can help design microlearning that works for your institution.

📍 In India, 3-minute voice lessons on basic phones reached thousands of CHWs, with 81% completing the course.
📍 In Nigeria, short on-site drills more than doubled clinical skills compared to workshops.
adapts: SMS, voice, or on-site practice. Faster, cheaper, proven.

Too many mothers die from preventable causes. Rwanda’s maternal mortality is 210 per 100,000 births, and the global target is just 70.
The way we train matters. Workshops are expensive and fade fast. Traditional e-learning is slow and impractical on the job.
Microlearning is different: short, focused lessons that stick. In Rwanda, community health workers kept 98% of their knowledge even 6 months later and across Africa, blended digital training is up to 42% cheaper than workshops.
👉 Let’s talk about how microlearning can strengthen your institution.
