This is the aerial hoop lollipop star entry for the base position in our hoop duo! It’s super comfy if you make sure the strop is below your hips. Tips below 👇🏼

Start standing in the hoop and hold one side of the strop in one hand. Take the other in the other hand as you turn into the middle with your body.

Now straddle up, keep the legs wide.

Grab the hoop with your hands quite high up the hoop and with some momentum you tip over into the lollipop position. It’s important to maintain your core engaged and think about sitting up and bringing the hoop with you.

Once you’re in the lollipop you bring both feet up and push the soles of your feet into the hoop keeping your weight pushing the hoop into the strop.

Change your hands onto the strop now and lower your upper body so you can pass through almost the Spider-Man position. This allows you to adjust the strop below the hips.

Straighten both legs into the star on the bar position only here you need to push the legs backwards and the hips forwards (opposite to normal star on the bar)

To get out, bring the feet back together and lower one leg. (You can pose here if you wish) take the hoop with one hand and slowly lower it behind you as you lower the other leg.

Come out the strop however you wish 🙃

Practice this low to build confidence first then take it higher. Always make sure you are supervised by a professional and NEVER train alone!
