Snow ❄️ we belong together!
Sometimes we get a chance to see if the great outdoors is runnable and this morning was no exception here in Dallas! (Most of what fell was ice so we obviously were careful to not fall) but .3__ and I had so much fun enjoying this before a lot melted today finally!

Only because real news 📰 drops on Tuesdays…
Houston— you were and still are my Pink Pony Club 💕🫶🏼 leaving Iowa to chase the dream of “teacher” in Houston never realizing that one day would be down to sign up for our first half marathon (later to get cancelled because of a hurricane 🌀) and then we ended up signing up for a whole marathon and half marathon 10 years ago! Instead of just wearing one hat in my life I showed up for myself in more ways than one and I’m completely grateful 🥹 for that and the ability to inspire others through my dedication towards my goals. This weekend wasn’t about time— it was about HEART ♥️ I know I’ve been faster before but it wasn’t that serious this weekend. This weekend was about so many things—coming back from my ankle sprain and running 🏃🏽♀️ without pain— which I successfully managed! It was remembering that running brings joy not just to me or to friends near or far but to those not here with us anymore. This weekend was about remembering the strength and confidence I created because of my dog Charlie that passed away and how before he was part of my life I really questioned if I could ever truly run long or short distances again. Because of Charlie I shattered all my doubt in the past year and that is a beautiful thing that I will never forget. I guess this is the life of a 10 years strong 💪🏽 here’s to being ,Ryan, and Michael on Sunday!

Houston Marathon Expo with .3__ was SO fun! Glad I got to show him all the fun things before he ran one of my favorite cities in Texas! It was so great to see friends near and far— I’m ready for next years race already because as coined 9 is fine! Slowly closer to that legacy status one step (and race) at a time 🫶🏼💕

Today is the day,
8 is great they say,
My friend and I are having some fun 🤩
I can’t believe we have run so many years under the sun ☀️
10 years ago I ran my first half marathon,
But I’ve never been worried about waking up to yawn,
Miles miles where did the time go,
I never thought I’d say that I wish that it could all go slow,
This year is definitely not my plateau,
I’ve got 2 more races to go 🫶🏼
This one’s for you Charlie, Ryan, and Michael 🪽🌈🐾💕
Let’s Run HOU!!!

A for the masses since it’s been a minute! This weekend I will be running 🏃🏽♀️ half marathon 36 with .3__ and so many friends near and far 🫶🏼💕 10 TEN whole years ago I embraced and embarked on this journey of half marathons and full marathons in large part due to a friend of mine that was the truest accountability buddy ever! I had this crazy dream to help raise over $1000 dollars for kids with cancer and do a satellite Chicago Marathon in Texas before dance 🪩 marathon that year— and I’m so grateful I did! If you asked me if I would be Runing for Life 10 years ago I wouldn’t know the answer but I’m so glad I embraced this sport and the friends/ connections and people and experiences that have come along with it all. thank you 🙏 for always believing in me in this crazy thing we call life as Prince says— here’s to being brave enough to try! This year is half marathon number 8 in Houston and as my friend a few years ago said when this race prospect got put on hold 8 is great— this one’s for you Ryan 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

Todays come to you from the cute ☺️ pics 📸 from .3__ on my first half marathon! I’m so glad I finished the year this way, after my awful injury to my ankle last year and not knowing if I could run a race again to this moment I felt so proud 🥹 if only Charlie could have seen the progress I made 💕 but I was inspired on the last part of this race by my friend who lost one of their dogs recently with one of his favorite pump up songs Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now by Starship and how Charlie and all the dogs 🐕 that have crossed the rainbow 🌈 bridge that have been the best running buddies wouldn’t let us stop our goals and that was what I thought 💭 about when I got to the finish line. It was simple and beautiful and a reminder that difficult roads are not always easy but still lead to a finish if we follow them where they lead 🫶🏼

Half Marathon 35 was COLD— like Wisconsin/ CHI town cold (but as Elsa says the cold never bothered me anyway!) I was excited to participate in this race as I have always cheered and it was great running 🏃🏽♀️ it with .3__ pacing me even when I questioned things near the end. I showed up for myself and I was yesterday! Thanks to all the positive energy that everyone shared with me 🫶🏼✨💕 Today’s was definitely earned.

Tomorrow I run 🏃🏽♀️ half marathon 35. It’s been a REALLY long time since I’ve run a half marathon since I sprained my ankle last year. I’ve enjoyed quiet running moments since then. Pain free runs. Running with my dog Charlie. Running with to see all the beautiful things she always gets to see. Running with .3__ and so many other friends this year— especially but if I could tell you the true reason I’m running this race tomorrow it’s because of an amazing friend and coworker of mine that told me a year ago that she hoped instead of me cheering 📣 on the race (of which I’ve done for YEARS) that we’d be celebrating our accomplishments doing the race together and me not in pain I would tell you how I wasn’t sure about that a year ago. I was super frustrated and defeated about my running after the severity of my injury. But somehow I dug deep inside and found a fire 🔥 again those Bravey vibes I know so well and feel so accomplished in this year— a large part due to Charlie who helped me build the confidence I wished I had a year ago 🫶🏼✨🥺 I miss my running buddy all the time, but I know he’s running with me from his rainbow 🌈 bridge. Tomorrow I’m running because he’d only want me to do that for my first race!

Didn’t post this Tuesday because I fell asleep 😴 but real news 📰 drops on Tuesdays or sometimes Thursdays because but after my awful injury last year with my ankle and moving past hip impingement I am here 🫶🏼💕✨ even if that hip impingement is trying real hard to creep back in because of a bike 🚲 ride while babysitting over the weekend. I’ve been slow building up my miles this year to make a comeback into half marathons after everything. My ultimate goal this first half marathon back is the finish but honestly I am just here for the ride. See y’all this weekend for my first half marathon (it feels weird to run instead of cheer but that’s what friends or boyfriends are for lol 😝) is the best form of love 💕

Nothing better than a with .3__ and .0 for this fun run for Hispanic Heritage Month! I’ve fully embraced being part of this community here in Oak Cliff these past 5 years and it was beautiful 😍 to share that with Enrique today! I was born Hispanic and am proud to be Hispanic and I will not stand by and see our country be torn apart by discrimination of the community of people that make our communities so rich of love and full of hope. Let’s run 🏃🏽♀️ for the cultura always 💕🫶🏼💪🏽
