IWillBloom
I’m Rachel, author of the I Will Bloom, and someone who is walking the cancer journey, too.
This journal was born from lived experience: the scanxiety, the sleepless nights, the tiny victories, and the need for something soft and human to hold onto.

Last week I had an MRI.
The scan itself was straightforward.
What nobody talks about enough is the waiting.
The conversations you have with yourself.
The things you Google and immediately regret.
The moments when you convince yourself everything is fine.
The moments when you convince yourself it isn't.
If you've ever waited for test results, you'll know exactly what I mean.
The waiting can be harder than the appointment.
❤️
Was it worth it?
100% yes.
Last week I flew back to the UK to spend time with my family. (The photo is missing my other sister, the beautiful Angie who had to go and pick up her kids, love you Angie xx)
My mum is 82.
My dad is 91.
At this stage of life, visits feel different. You become more aware that time is precious, and that ordinary moments matter more than grand plans.
We laughed, shared stories, drank tea, ate far too much, and simply enjoyed being together.
Then I came home and, if I'm honest, I crashed.
A couple of days of fatigue reminded me that my energy still has limits, even when my heart wants to do everything.
But looking at these photos, I'd make exactly the same decision again.
Sometimes the best investment of your energy is in the people you love.

Writing helps on some days.
Colouring helps on others.
Neither changes what's happening.
But both can create a small moment of calm when you need it most.
That's why the I Will Bloom journal includes space for both. 🌸
Sometimes five quiet minutes is enough.

Every piece inside the Bloom Box has been chosen with care.
🌸 A guided journal
🌸 Colour & Calm pages
🌸 Bloom Markers
🌸 Load Lighteners
🌸 A bookmark
🌸 A pen
🌸 Colouring pencils
Because support isn't just about appointments and medication.
Sometimes it's about having a quiet place to think, reflect, write, colour, plan, or simply breathe.
I Will Bloom was created by someone who has walked this path herself, with the hope that it makes the days ahead feel a little lighter.
Available via Etsy, Amazon and IWillBloom.com
This might seem like a small detail, but I spent a ridiculous amount of time choosing this pen.
Because when you're going through treatment, sometimes even finding a pen can feel like one thing too many.
So every Bloom Box includes one. A small detail, but an intentional one.

Well, this wasn't the content I expected to be creating this week.
As part of preparing for my colonoscopy, I've been documenting the journey.
Day 1: Mercadona unveiled an entire army of fresh pistachio muffins on the exact day I started my low-fibre diet.
Day 2: My usual salmon, broccoli and roasted potatoes have been replaced with plain chicken and mashed potato.
Day 3: No food. No milk. Only black tea and water. Please keep me in your thoughts.
Day 4: We do not speak of Day 4.
The funny thing is, so many people go through this, but nobody really talks about it.
So if you've ever prepared for a colonoscopy, feel free to share your survival tips below.
If not, simply admire my courage as I stare longingly at baked goods and dream of a proper cup of tea. ☕😂
There’s a real person behind this page, me!
Not a company.
Not a content team.
Just someone trying to create the kind of support I wish I’d had 🤍

Somewhere between appointments, exhaustion, curveballs and healing…
your tolerance for nonsense quietly packs its bags and leaves 😌
And honestly?
Peace suits me better.
