🎄 A Christmas reflection from Lagertha Join Forces 🎄
As the year comes to an end, we’re taking a reflective moment to look back at where it all began.
From our early days in November 2020, Lagertha Join Forces was already driven by a clear belief: that diversity, inclusion, and ESG values are not optional — they are essential.
Being shortlisted for the WEgate Awards for Women Entrepreneurship in Europe in the NOVA category in 2021 and 2022 was an early and meaningful recognition of that journey. It reminded us that purpose-driven companies can create real socio-economic impact from the very start.
We want to express our deepest thanks to:
✨ Our dedicated Advisory Board members. Also our previsus members
✨ The fantastic people in our growing, curated network
✨ Everyone who has believed in, challenged, and supported Lagertha Join Forces along the way
You are all the reason this community continues to grow with integrity, ambition, and heart.
I wish you all a warm, peaceful Christmas and look forward to extend the most important focus; collaboration and Co-Creation even more together in the year ahead. ❤️

ESG as Legacy: Living Wealth Beyond Numbers
We’re continuing our Family Office Edge highlights — and this one with Anne Klein hit deep.
Her message cut through: Legacy isn’t what you leave. It’s what you live.
Anne reframed ESG and legacy planning as something deeply human — a conversation about values, purpose, and the impact we create while we’re here. Because true wealth isn’t just financial. It’s health, education, values — and the way we use our capital to influence humanity for good.
ESG: The Language of Humanity
Anne challenged us to see ESG as more than a framework — it’s a language.
A way for families to talk about what truly matters and how their capital connects to purpose. For next gens, ESG can be a perfect conversation starter — helping them explore the complexity of wealth, sustainability, and social responsibility in real terms. It’s about understanding impact.
Living Your Legacy, Not Just Leaving It
We often think of legacy as something that happens later — after success.
But Anne reminded us that the real power lies in living your legacy now.
When family members get involved early — learning, contributing, and taking ownership — they build something far stronger than inheritance: continuity with purpose. And that means re-examining the “gatekeepers.” Sometimes, the very people meant to protect family wealth can unintentionally block growth or innovation.
Anne’s take was clear: gatekeepers can also be gate crashers — so make sure the right people are opening doors, not closing them.
Education Turns Talk into Transformation
ESG is also an educational tool. It helps families and next gens understand how money, mission, and humanity intersect. But conversation alone isn’t enough action is where transformation begins. That transformation isn’t linear — it’s circular. Values drive actions, actions drive impact, and impact re-shapes values. That’s how governance evolves from policy into culture.
Private Capital as a Force for Good
Anne closed with a challenge: How will your capital serve humanity?
Private capital holds incredible power — not just to fund projects, but to shape futures. When families align values with investment strategies, ESG stops being a buzzword. It becomes a living practice — one that keeps legacy alive through purpose and action.
💥 Takeaways from Annes speak at the The Family Office Edge. 👏
ESG = Humanity’s Language: The bridge between purpose and capital.
Legacy Is Lived: Wealth is more than numbers — it’s values and action.
Next Gen Involvement: Engage, educate, empower early.
Gatekeepers Beware: Don’t block opportunity — open it.
Action Over Talk: Transformation is circular, not linear.

Gen Z Is Changing the Game — And So Is the Family Office
We’re back with our second highlight from The Family Office Edge; ESG Investing Beyond the Conventional Playbook and this one hits right at the heart of where investing is heading.
Kelly Ann Winget shared how Gen Z and millennial investors are flipping the script — they care less about quick returns and more about purpose, sustainability, and long-term impact.
For them, success isn’t just financial — it’s meaningful.
From Spreadsheets to Substance
Kelly nailed something many of us have been thinking: venture capital has some growing up to do.
For too long, it’s been a bit of a “wild west” — everyone claiming to be a VC, chasing shiny valuations, and checking boxes on spreadsheets.
But this next generation? They’re not buying it.
They’re asking: Who are we funding? What change are we driving? Why does this matter?
They want investments that reflect values, not just valuations.
The Family Office Mindset: Hands On, Not Hands Off
This is where family offices are quietly reshaping the landscape.
They’re done being passive investors. They’re getting involved directly — building personalized deals, supporting founders, and investing in what they actually believe in.
That’s the same roll-up-your-sleeves spirit that built much of America’s wealth — and now it’s driving the next wave of sustainable investing.
Family offices bring long-term capital and patience — two things traditional funds often lack.
And their influence is spreading globally, creating new ecosystems of collaboration, co-investment, and shared learning.
Education = Empowerment
Kelly made another key point: education is everything.
Next-gen family members aren’t content to just inherit portfolios — they want to understand how to create opportunity and connect capital to mission.
When families are equipped with that knowledge, they stop being passive investors and start being purposeful owners.
That’s where transformation begins.
💥 Kellys insightful Takeaways from The Family Office Edge
· Gen Z & Millennials: Purpose > Profit. Impact is the new ROI.
· Family Offices: Hands-on capital is back. Roll up the sleeves, get involved.
· Venture Capital: Needs a reboot — less checkbox, more conviction.
· Education Matters: Families want to build, not just buy.
· Collaboration Wins: FO-to-FO partnerships are where the real innovation happens.
Thank you so much Kelly Ann Winget we are super happy for you could make it 🤩
This shift is more than a trend — it’s a mindset.
And it’s setting the tone for how wealth, purpose, and impact will connect in the decade ahead.
