Candidates must hold a relevant university degree, have a minimum of one year of experience in training or technology education, and must not be currently enrolled as undergraduate student.

A New Milestone for GFD Egypt & Mwalimu Connect Kenya (Strategic Cooperation MoU Signed Advancing Education & TVET Across Kenya and Sub-Saharan Africa 🇪🇬🤝🇰🇪)

I am delighted to share that today, we had the honor of signing a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Gatei, Founder & CEO of Mwalimu Connect Connect Limited.

This partnership formalizes our shared commitment to drive impactful, scalable, and high-quality solutions across Education, TVET, employability, teacher development, and youth skills within Kenya and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Kenya and the wider Sub-Saharan region are entering a transformative era in TVET, digital skills, and youth employability. By combining GFD Egypt’s expertise in Smart TVET, school co-management, CDCs, digital learning, and workforce programs with Mwalimu Connect’s strong teacher development ecosystem and national networks, we are building a partnership that can deliver real systems change.

Empowering Youth through Hands-On Vocational Training

In Alexandria, under the YIEP Project with Plan International Egypt and the Danish Fund, Galaxy for Development (GFD) proudly delivered a vocational training in Air Conditioning (AC) Installation & Maintenance.

Over just six intensive days, young job seekers gained:
1. Practical, hands-on skills.
2. Real exposure to the AC sector.
3. Confidence to step into the labor market.

The energy, enthusiasm, and gratitude from the participants were truly inspiring a reminder that when youth are given opportunities, they rise to the challenge.

At GFD, we believe in skills that transform lives and in building pathways to decent, sustainable employment. When young people succeed, communities thrive.

Galaxy for Development, in partnership with WE Telecom company and the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, is advertising for the post of technical teachers to join 8 new WE Applied Technology Schools in the governorates of Menoufia, Fayoum, Beni Sweif, Luxor, Aswan, Marsa Matrouh, Red Sea, North Sinai (El-Arish), El-Gharbia, El-Sharkia, Kafr ElSheikh, Port Said, Ismailia, Sohag, and Damietta.
Key Responsibilities of technical teachers:
• Develop and deliver a structured and engaging educational content, session plans and presentations for young learners.
• Design interactive and age-appropriate learning materials, activities, and assessments.
• Incorporate digital tools, multimedia resources, and AI-driven learning methods.
• Research and integrate best practices in experiential and project-based learning.
• Collaborate with school management to ensure smooth running of the educational process.
Qualifications of technical teachers:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, electronics, communications, computer science, software engineering, IT and networks, AI, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of concepts and the ability to simplify them for young learners.
Important note:
The recruitment process will include the following 3 assessments, and the candidate has to pass these assessments to be qualified to enter the personal interview stage.
 Technical test in the areas of school specialization
 Advanced English language test
 Digital test
