Egypt has officially announced the 2026 Eid Al-Fitr holiday, which will run from Thursday, March 19 to Monday, March 23.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly declared the five-day break as a paid public holiday for both public and private sector employees, covering the final day of Ramadan through the Eid celebrations.

Egypt has announced a new increase in fuel prices, adding EGP 3 per liter across gasoline and diesel products starting March 10, 2026.

The move comes as part of the government’s fuel pricing review mechanism aimed at aligning domestic fuel prices with global energy markets.

New prices:
Gasoline 95: EGP 24 per liter
Gasoline 92: EGP 22.25 per liter
Gasoline 80: EGP 20.75 per liter
Diesel (Solar): EGP 20.5 per liter

The US dollar climbed to around EGP 52 in Egyptian banks this week, marking its highest level.

Mohamed Hany, a student was killed outside the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Sheraton.

Four people were injured following an incident at Dubai International Airport, the Dubai Media Office said Saturday.

Dubai Airports confirmed that a concourse at DXB sustained minor damage in an incident that was quickly contained, without providing further details. Emergency response teams were deployed and the situation is under control.
