As future engineers in years to come, students shall be exposed to international organizations that may help them much, not only in knowledge wise, but also including preparations as well as experiences. Of course through active participations in any clubs, students are coached and shaped in many aspects such as leadership skills, communication skills, teamwork application, networking ability, thinking intelligence and many more, before they are able to stand strong on their own during working paths. Thus, ICE Student Chapter has foreseen bright approach mainly for Civil Engineering course students in BUE to gain extra knowledge from ranging technical talks and forums organized by experienced civil engineers and professions. Hence, with the ICE Student Chapter in BUE, students of Civil are able to enjoy the benefits that ICE offers. Through this connection, students will be exposed internally and externally to meet up the global challenges and requirements that Civil Engineering possessed. Not only that, students of Civil Engineering may expand their circle of Civil Engineers-mate worldwide, exchanging thoughts, opinions, knowledge and experiences. ICE Student Chapter will be one of a kind, offering worldwide conferences and seminars to the students of Civil Engineering.

• BUE ICE Student Chapter is founded in mid 2011 by Ahmed Khalid Bauomi EL-Shamy with supervision by the head of civil engineering department in the BUE Dr. Maguid Hassan.
• The student chapter got the official approval from the ICE headquarters in UK in 1st of March 2012.
• This Student Chapter is the only official body for the Institution of Civil Engineers in the British University in Egypt (BUE)
