Caribaea Initiative, in partnership with Eco Balance Inc,implemented a project- 'Conserving the Imperial parrot in Dominica'. The project is conducted in collaboration with the Forestry,Wildlife, and Parks Division (FWPD) of Dominica.
This project is funded by the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF).
The project strengthens conservation through research, capacity building, and community engagement.

IICA ECS hosted "CCRAF on the road" in Dominica!
Ecobalance inc with the Central Universal Farmers Group participated in this activity through a 'farm hopping ' ,with the students of the Belles Primary school.
The students engaged in Agro Tourism and seedling propagation at D-SmartFarm ,Family farming at Germain's Farm and livestock and animal rearing at Maggie's Farm.
It was a pleasure giving the students hands-on experience !

The CCRAF on the ROAD is a dynamic, region-wide outreach initiative that translates agricultural knowledge into tangible action by directly engaging farming communities across the Caribbean. Building on the foundation of the Caribbean Climate Smart Agriculture Forum established in 2015, this initiative brings capacity building, field demonstrations, and knowledge-sharing directly to farmers, youth, and agricultural stakeholders. Through hands-on farming demonstrations, school outreach visits, and cultural activities, the program fosters community empowerment and builds a more resilient and sustainable agriculture sector. The upcoming events in Dominica from November 10-14, 2025, will feature interactive sessions, practical trainings, and demonstrations of climate-resilient practices.
