Have you heard about USER Cloning? It's widely used in the labs at University of Copenhagen, and we're pretty sure, it's one of the easiest ways to clone and ligate constructs together - without the use of any ligase! Check out this explainer and learn about USER cloning and why it's so awesome!

Tomorrow’s climate-friendly production will harvest solar energy...

***News article in ScienceViews: Solar driven production***

Today, Professor Birger Lindberg Møller is in ScienceViews - a debate forum under the Novo Nordisk Foundation – with a call to rethink our current production systems: Instead of being based on fossil fuels and release of immense amounts of CO2, let’s base them on harvesting solar energy and consumption of CO2. The systems should be developed in collaboration with nature by using it’s innate creativity and innovation power. It would be far better for our planet – and is now fast becoming a realistic possibility.

Biased cytochrome P450-mediated metabolism via small-molecule ligands binding P450 oxidoreductase P450 oxidoreductase (POR) selectively activates numerous cytochromes P450 (CYP), crucial for metabolism of drugs, steroids and xenobiotics and natural product biosynthesis. Here, the authors identify ligands that bind POR and bias its specificity towards CYP redox partners, activating distinct metab...

🤩PASSING IT FORWARD: This week our fabulous iGEM team visited Borupgaard High School with their own iGEM-Synbio-Workshop.

And look at all the happy faces :-D Very well done, team!! Yay!🥳🤩🤓🧚‍♂️

Sharing knowledge and engaging with young learners is very much part of the iGEM spirit and community - and a win-win for all. You know what they say: You don't know it, until you've had to explain it to others ;-)

A huge thank you to the class of 2.K on Borupgaard High School (Gymnasium) for their participation in our presentation and workshop about iGEM, synthetic biology and what we are doing at CIDosis. We were amazed at how well you understood the key concepts of synthetic biology and thrilled that you found the program for the day both interesting, exciting and valuable for your education. We hope to see some of you in the iGEM competition in the years to come and would love to help you on your journey towards achieving success with your projects! Also, a big thank you to Dansk Magisterforening for sponsoring our amazing T-shirts that we wore for the day and thank you to everyone involved at Borupgaard High School in arranging the visit under these extraordinary circumstances. We are looking forward to possibly collaborating with you again in the future! #igem #igem2020 #syntheticbiology #Borupgaard #HighSchool #Presentation #Workshop #Teamwork #NextGen @igem_hq @borupgaardgymnasium
