The last weeks I took a little time out of my usual office, to go with my dear friend to Jamaica to attend her Grandmothers funeral and celebrate her life and strength she provided for her community.

The weeks have been been heart opening in many ways🌿.

I used to study and work here, and this trip also provided me with yet another possibility to dive into the knowledge of traditional medicine, passed on from generations of grandmothers and grandfathers.

The last weeks I’ve met and reasoned with elders, creators and makers of herbal potions and medicines, and have been able to share and exchange the knowledge and love of herbs💚

Happy fall-equinox

Today, where the day and night are equally long, my day was filled with things that I truly appreciate.

I was in Norgesgade 35 most of the day, and got a visit from a good old friend, who brought me treasures from Morocco.
I also got a visit from who picked up some salves and oils.

I made 600 balms, hand-filled all jars, and applied lids, manually✨.

I carved out an hour of the day to practice and meditate about what I am harvesting this equinox.
I made it a priority, because when days are filled with stuff to do, I need to create pauses sometimes, to experience the spaces in-between.

Later I went out to have a late dinner with my daughter.
While we were eating, she asked me, when was the last time I cried, and
we had a good, long talk about crying, and how much relief and cleansing tears can bring (and also how it feels to sometimes cry with glasses on)💧

Summertime is here, and that might mean, that one of your salves or Body Butters that you brought to the beach, or forgot outside in the sun, MELTS🌞

If that happens, don’t worry.
As soon as you find your salve melted, just put it in a fridge or freezer immediately, so it solidifies fast, back to its normal texture, and also so it solidifies without crystallising (if the products contains Shea Butter)✨

In rare cases, where crystallising happens after a product containing Shea Butter has melted, and then cooled down too slow, just know, it is not dangerous at all, It’s simply some of the waxes separating from eachother while cooling down slowly.

In that case, just warm the products between your hands, before application.

Last week I was so lucky to enter my showroom, and to my big surprise, find several small bags with more beautiful scarves, that had been delivered through the tiny mailbox in the door, by the same woman, I met while biking a few weeks ago.💙

Today I had one of those everyday magical moments, that I experience a lot lately.
I was riding my bicycle when I passed a woman wearing a beautiful scarf, and I slowed down, to tell her, that I really loved her scarf.
Her face lit up in a bright smile, and she replied: “oh I have plenty, do you want it”?
I said I just wanted to complement her, and that I’m a collector of scarves, and really just appreciated the look of hers.
She laughed, and insisted, “let’s swap”?
And that’s how it happened that I covered her hair with my dark grey silk scarf, while she slipped off this floral scarf without no one noticing.
An invisible swap of scarves and genuine intentions in the middle of the street.
We exchanged names, and found out we are almost neighbours, and agreed that she will come and visit me in the shop in Norgesgade soon, and I can’t wait.

Herbal Salvations Floral Waters are hydrolats (steam distilled plant material), with no additives.
They are mild and gentle to use, yet very effective.
