We're here to report that your donations have now arrived in Poland where they will be distributed amongst refugee reception centres in Przemyśl. 🌟 We have gathered so much stuff, the women and children there will have enough supplies for weeks. And we wouldn't be able to do this without you! 💝 Your love amazes us.

We had so many donations we had to send them in two batches and even had enough to share with some Ukrainian refugees currently living in Sydhavnen. 🌿 In total, we sent 21 boxes and 7 bags of supplies to Poland – isn't that amazing? We are so proud of our community. 💖

💙 We are collecting necessary supplies for Ukrainian mothers & their children seeking refuge in Poland – we need you! 💛

We have a lot of love at yum. Love that we give and love that we receive. While we can't stop the war, this is the time to channel all that love into something that can make a difference for the people fleeing the war in Ukraine, giving them some comfort in these extremely uncomfortable times.

Acknowledging and putting our privilege to use, we pulled some strings and got in touch with volunteers working at the refugee reception centres near the border between Ukraine and Poland. They gave us a list of specific supplies they are running low on.

So, FROM TOMORROW (Wednesday 2nd March) until Sunday evening (6th March), WE WILL BE COLLECTING:
💙 Small toys (including a personal note*)
💛 Diapers (all sizes)
💙 Creams for baby bums / Other kids' hygiene products (e.g. wet wipes, baby oil, toothbrushes, toothpaste)
💛 Single-use biodegradable cutlery, plates and cups
💙 Underwear, socks, gloves, hats
💛 Food for kids (purees, mousses, jars)
💙 Instant milk (for babies)

*Apart from showing support through donations, we want to spread love, hope and give a sense of belonging. Write a short note in English (or Ukrainian, if you know someone who could translate it!) and attach it securely to your toy!

All the items above have been requested specifically by our contact person in Poland and we will not be accepting anything outside of this list to preserve space and not cause unnecessary waste. Please bring your donations directly to the café – we will be sending them to Poland next week.

In addition to this, you can help by attending our exclusive meditation workshop this Saturday (5th March) at 13.00–14.15. It will be led by Agni, who is kindly donating his time and expertise, to teach us how meditate for Ukraine and our own mental health.

Participating in the course costs 249kr. and 100% of the money will go towards our donation in Poland.
