Wikis, Youtube, Twitter for teaching and learning most often triggers one question among educators: How can good-quality results be assured? The CONCEDE conference 14 September 2011 in Oeiras (near Lisbon) offers the opportunity to share experiences on user-generated content (UGC) and approaches to quality in higher education, but also in other educational settings as adult and secondary school learning. In the framework of the EFQUEL Innovation Forum we will explore how UGC is effectively used in higher education with examples from around Europe. We will discuss how the quality of UGC in teaching and learning can be improved and what policies are needed to boost the quality and quantity of UGC in teaching and learning.
