In 2011 the British science fiction anthology series “Black Mirror” screened an episode entitled “The Entire History of You”, set in an alternative reality where most people have “grains” recording everything they do, see, or hear, and allowing them to play back their memories in front of their eyes or on a screen.
Intrigued by the idea of self-tracking and life-logging I decided to experiment how much information of myself I can quantify and what sort of data I can produce...

under the motto ‚Tour de FabLab‘ , the ‚FabLab OWL‘ will be inaugurated at the OWL University on April 27th 2018. At the Lemgo and Detmold university campus, the Institut für Wissenschaftsdialog (Institute for Dialogue on Science) creates two unique locations on the campus, enabling new types of participation for citizens and students alike. This facilities offer space to implement and produce your own creative ideas and use a global network of digital technologies.
For this special event an introduction to FabLab technologies and potentials, open source in architecture and the democratization of production will be held by ‚WikiHouse‘ co-founder Alastair Parvin (London) at the FabLab OWL Detmold and Julian Vogels, CEO and co-founder of Soundbrenner (Berlin) will be spaking at the FabLab OWL in Lemgo .
„The FabLab is communication space and workshop at the same time. An ideal place to materialize ideas and concepts experimentally, quickly and precisely, alone or in collaboration with others.“
The FabLab OWL offers students, employees and private persons and partners of the OWL University of Applied Sciences the opportunity to develop and realize models and prototypes with the aid of various digital fabrication technologies. Numerous CNC machines such as 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC milling machines and cutting plotters are available.
