Here’s the fourth principle of our Body Language for Autonomous Technology: Mirroring
Do you follow?!
Sometimes you need reassurance that your counterpart understands everything you say. Imagine your counterpart is a cobot, twice as big, ten times as strong and working with you in an open environment. You want to be sure it does what it was told to do.
Mirroring a user's movements by the cobot can give a constant sense of security and create additional trust in the technology.

Click dummies don’t work…
For some interactions you need a physical prototype. Just like in our current project for Miele & Cie. KG.
Yet it’s not just the final version of a mockup that brings us all the insights. Each step of the process reveals the complexity of orchestrating all the different components to work together as a whole. We love to leave our pixel perfect click dummies for a moment to play around with some motors, sensors and a couple of LEDs.
Let us know if you struggle to leave the pixels behind. We are happy to help.

A few days ago we received the invitation to Living in a Box – Collection of Artefacts. We're happy to join and curious to see the projects unfold.

Here’s the third principle of our Body Language for Autonomous Technology: Prediction
When living things start moving, we can usually anticipate that. Why is that? The movement of a body consists of complex sequences of individual movements. These individual movements prepare the observer for a specific action. Thus, if we deliberately use a secondary motion in a robot, the user can anticipate its behavior. This gives him a sense of security and assurance.
Here’s the second principle of our Body Language for Autonomous Technology: The imitation of physics.
It describes the digital translation of physical laws. We are used to heavy objects moving slower than light ones. Or that magnets can attract or repel each other. So we instinctively know how these objects will behave. This behavior can be used for communication and interaction between humans and robots. In a Follow-Me concept for example, replicating a repulsive force can trigger a sense of safety in the user.
Our header logo just came to life.
Sometimes it’s the small things that are the most fun. A nice gimmick to start the weekend. Go ahead and play around.

First day in the finals! Today the bootcamp of the Deutschland 4.0 Challenge starts. Our innovative Service-Design *onRoute* has made it to the last round. Together with EnBW, Sarah Bremm and we want to make eMobility more attractive and thus have a positive impact on the energy transition. We are excited to meet our partners and coaches from and !
New graphic art for our office! 🙌
We love to play around and take things out of their usual context to create something new.
This graphic poster is based on a visualization of an elastic bounce bezier curve in CSS for web and app development:
„The elastic curve, named because it looks like the object is on a piece of elastic tied to the end point of the path. We overshoot the end point, come back (but overshoot again), and bounce back and forth, a little less each time, before coming to a smooth stop.“
We took one 2D elastic bounce curve replicated it and then rendered it in 3D perspective.

Check out our new website (Link in bio)!
Last year we gave our website a well needed update to showcase our projects, creative process and mindset.
We wanted to get a deeper understanding on how to develop responsive web apps and digital products (html, JavaScript & CSS) and did both the design and the development of the website in-house.
For us having a website with a solid performance is key. The site is done with Webflow! We can really recommend this tool for websites of any level of complexity and purpose.
The performance is just amazing!

Its field research time! 🧑💻
Together with EnBW, we are working on an open innovation project on the topic of e-mobility.
The focus is on the user experience during charging breaks. 🔌🔋🏎
Last week we did field research near the autobahn A2.
We took the perspective of an e-car driver on the road ourselves, conducted interviews with other drivers and generated valuable insights for our concepts!

We ❤️ building prototypes🤖!
We believe that building prototypes - either physical or digital - brings tremendous benefits to any product development process.
When you think about the design of a robot and its behavior, prototypes are even more important! With high-fidelity prototypes, we enable a holistic product experience at an early stage.
Last year, we had the chance to work with Miele on the future of UX for household robots. With our high-fidelity prototype, we helped them take what started as an innovation project into the next generation of product development!
