Female Leaders

It's a typical Monday, sometime in November. Russian aggression has reached a new threshold. Neighbouring countries are being threatened and the infrastructure is falling.

How prepared are you? As a company. As a household. As a civilian. Mentally.

That was the opening question of yesterday's Female Leaders in Defense, Health & Resilience panel at Innovations United 2026.

Moderated by Andrea Michalcová, Director at Center for an Informed Society, the panel brought together Markéta Pekarová Adamová, Former Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Milena Jaburkova, Vice President of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic responsible for defense, cybersecurity and digital economy, and Samuela Davidova, Liberland Representative.

What came out of the conversation:

Resilience is not a defence industry topic. It's everyone's topic. Businesses, schools, NGOs, households. The question is not if — it's when. And pilots don't train landings during a crisis.

Look to Poland and the Baltic states. They are preparing their societies. Seriously, systematically, and with urgency. There is a lot to learn from them.

Trust is built through communication — local, on the ground, consistent. In real crises, people trust institutions far more than in theoretical debates. The work happens before the emergency.

Technology as infrastructure for resilience. Blockchain, AI, decentralised platforms — systems that keep functioning when centralised ones fail.

Female Leaders is far more than a summit. It's a platform for the conversations that matter.

✨ Female Leaders Summit 2026 is behind us. And we're still thinking about it.

Women from business, technology, law, finance, public affairs, and beyond finding each other, raising questions, exchanging contacts, laughing and creating together.

We are grateful for every single one of you who showed up and added to the discussion – by being there, taking part, and telling us valuable input to take this platform even further.

We see Europe as a strong region with real potential. But we also see the rigidity, the loss of motivation, the erosion of confidence that too many women in leadership navigate every day.

Female Leaders exist to change that: by connecting the business world with the regulatory and executive one, and by supporting the women who will be the real drivers of change.

AI saves hours. But who actually has spare hours to give?

That was the opening tension of the first panel of Female Leaders: Technology, AI, and Digital Transformation.

The conversation quickly moved beyond tools and into people.

Institutions may have been excited about cost savings, but Petra Lovčinská (Raiffeisenbank) and Monika Mašková (PRK Partners) talked about how the reality is often messier:

🔥 The pace of change is accelerating faster than our biological setup can handle. We're shifting from time management to energy management.
Soft skills are becoming the new power skill.

Markéta Čechman (ČSOB) brought it home: 70% of the success of any AI project is people. The first wave of adoption wasn't hard to sell within organizations. The second wave is. A coder may be in IT precisely because they love building — not leading or sharing. AI is now asking them to do both.

And Beáta Petrušová (Generali CEE Holding) closed with a question worth thinking about: if AI is handling the work that used to develop junior talent: how do we make sure the next generation of experts still gets to grow?

The room is opening with welcoming remarks from Minister of Finance Alena Schillerová , moderator and economic reporter Michala Hergetova, and Startup Disrupt & Female Leaders founder Patrik Juránek — followed by a very activating keynote by Jana Havrdová, Head of Department at the Ministry for Sport, Prevention and Health.

She says: "Even as world leaders and aspiring change-makers, we still have to be ourselves, and physically present in our bodies, and stop living in an illusion that when our health breaks, our healthcare system will fix us."
