Last week I attended Mouvo – a motion design festival. ⚡️🪅 The biggest vibe shift: artists online are still deep in the hustle-culture era, flexing big clients and polished work. But in real life? People were so much more real – experimental, imperfect, and actually telling stories with their imperfect work. Big takeaway: lean into the “slow” periods, build your style, chase what you love – not just the work that pays. I’m gonna try to do that myself and share my experimental work. Also loved seeing so many women at the festival. 🙌 Finally it feels that we are a legit part of the industry.

And of course – AI. 🤖 The room was polarized – some artists were loudly hating, some were fully embracing it. Me? I’m leaning pro-AI, but only where it actually makes sense – cutting redundant tasks, brainstorming faster, delivering concepts better. I don’t want to be a Luddite about it. History shows that tech progress always creates more opportunities in the long run, even if some jobs disappear in the short term.

Let’s start journey ✨ One of the first illustrations made from scratch. A hand drawn animation that I’d like to share here. There is still so much more to improve but I guess no one is ever 100% satisfied with their result. So let’s appreciate our work the way it is and love the imperfections of it ⚡️ it is a fun journey

P.S for the nerds like me who find it satisfying to see the progress of the workflow in time-lapse, I’m adding the second video - from references to final look

Working on a new animation piece 🤍🎬 this is a draft version that is being already fully reworked, nevertheless I’m excited to share my creative process here. It was the first time working with and it was a pleasant experience

These complementary colors have a magical flare of the World of Amelie Poulain. The same way I got inspired by the movie, the director was inspired by Brazilian painter, Juarez Machado. In his paintings the prevailing colors are red, green and blue. My point is, whatever you create - don’t be afraid to steal like an artist. 🧧

В той же мере как вдохновилась я фильмом, режиссёр вдохновился картинами бразильского художника Хуареса Мачадо. В его красках преобладают зелёный, красный и голубой.
