Serenique started without a plan.
I was going through a stressful time — the kind where you need stillness before you even know you need it. So I just began. Blue. Layers. Glass and mirror fragments added to the surface.
The mirrors play with the light in a way paint alone never does. The surface keeps shifting depending on where you stand.
The title came after. Serenity + unique. That felt true.

This piece is built from multiple individual elements that only come together during the final assembly.
Screws, wire, spacing, balance and structure become part of the artwork itself.

I go through phases where I turn inward and question everything. It’s not always triggered by something specific. It just comes.
This work was started during one of those phases — and I couldn’t finish it. I kept leaving it and coming back. That interruption stayed in the work.
