On stage 2 I started at the top of the list, second place 🥈 in my class and sixth in FIM. My pace was solid and climbing, navigation was extremely complicated but I was methodical on every turn and hazard. With faster and more aggressive pacing comes higher chances of failure and this is how all rally racing is. At some point, in the dense vegetation of Evia Island, a tree branch struck my radiator precisely between the layers of protection designed to mitigate accidents just like this. This particular rally affords competitors the option of re-starting on a later day, but after almost 2 days of exhausting every single option for repairing and replacing the damage, I had to call it. Respect to the rugged wilderness of Evia 🪾and huge thanks to Rados Anestis for giving me every chance to repair and restart, I will be back next year!

Days before the rally, I like to have plenty of time for prep and focus. Sometimes I take my bike out to the beach just to have some last minute bonding. She tells me what she needs, I listen and I tell her (and myself) that everything will be all right. Just have to keep the throttle open and have fun…

Hellas Rally happens almost entirely on the island of Evia - and it turns out it’s basically a skinnier version of home🇨🇾🇬🇷

Same Mediterranean DNA: forested mountain spine, rocky coastlines, dirt roads carved between pine and fir. Evia’s just ~40% the size of Cyprus, stretched long and narrow.

If you’ve ridden Troodos, you already know the texture of what’s coming. Just add rain.

Huge thanks to for sorting the new graphics on the van and the FE 450. Walked in with rough ideas, walked out with a rig that actually looks like a race team. That’s the kind of turnaround you only get from people who give a damn.
