Studio Rouge is a platform for outstanding art from both established and emerging artists of China.
Studio Rouge with its ethereal white space and lofty great Victorian ceilings was established at the Bund by George Michell in 2004. The Gallery is housed in the oldest building of Shanghai's former British concession with an impressive space age vista of Pudong at its door. "Measured Colour"
Pauline Crogan's exotic canvases of abstraction are informed by her various lives in Australia, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Crogan explores geometric design - as a spiritual medium.
In these works, inspired ostensibly by oriental and Islamic architecture, she delights in the optical illusions generated by the juxtaposition of strident colour, line and shape to create a metaphysical and multi dimensional sense of time and space.
Pauline Crogan began her artistic journey in Hong Kong where she completed a Bachelor of Fine Art in 2008. Crogan is currently completing a Master Degree in Fine Art at the RMIT, University of Melbourne, Australia.
