Ever wonder why Papa Turtle walks guests out on paddle boards instead of using a boat? Because he’s protecting the marineenvironment—and you. Boat diesel pollutes the fragile reef environment, and without rules like propeller guards, turtles (and snorkellers) are at risk. One turtle in the cook islands - has already lost its life due to being driven over by a boat.

There are 24 turtle tour operators on the island, but only 8 have signed the current MOU—because it’s flawed and doesn’t do enough to protect our marine environment and the creatures/people in it. Until real change happens, Papa’s walking with purpose.
