Finding Canton Geneva marriage and birth records from 1876 and 1878, for a client. The parents of the married couple were in the marriage records, with their birth dates and locations. So further birth and marriage records can be found.

Found!!!! The last Will and Testament for a client, from 1906. This is general archive work at the Bundesarchivs in Switzerland, based on genealogical practices for research. Genealogical research can be used in many ways to find historical information. Also found historical financial information on the creation of a large funds by professors, to pay for student stipends to attend the ETH. Dr. Mayer-Eymar was a public figure and Professor at the ETH in Zurich.

Yesterday I was at the Solothurn Kantonal Archiv in Solothurn, Switzerland doing genealogy research for a client. I found the original birth and baptism record from 1846, for the person I was researching. I also found the birth and baptism records for her siblings as well as the wedding record for her parents. I was also able to find confirmation records for most of the siblings. The books here go back to 1600.

They also have a pool with copies of the passports of all people who emigrated from Canton Solothurn. Send me an email if you need research done in Solothurn. [email protected]

We are working with our newest client and have tracked their family back to original documents in the village archives from 1870. We have now found the link the the parents of the couple we are researching. We are off to the archiv at Solothurn to take photos of the original church books with births, baptisms, weddings and deaths.
