Michael Kabus explores the complexity and wonder of modern life through intricately composed, deeply relatable pop-rock songs. Born in Basel, a major Swiss city near the French and German borders, Michael grew up immersed in music from all over the globe. However, it was American pop music, Michael Jackson in particular, that sparked his lifelong affinity for songwriting. His childhood was often tumultuous, marked by his parents’ separation and a near-death accident during a storm on a lake, but his love of music gave him purpose helped him to persevere.

As he came of age, Micheal began using music to process his emotions and grow into a better version of himself. He fell in love and wrote some of the most poignant songs his young career. His sonic palette includes everything from adventurous electronica to confessional acoustic ballads, leading to a body of work that is defined by his uncanny ability to turn his personal experiences into instantly lovable songs with mass appeal.

Besides many separate songs, I will release the "Healing EP" in 2024. It will take you through my process of healing and letting go of the past. The mood starts depressed and gets uplifting in the end. "Tell Me" is about close people that sadly killed themselves in the past. "Lullabies" is about how these stories turn out to be hopeless fantasies in the end, but still they provide strength to move on. And "Still Worth Living" is the final uplifting anthem I make peace with the past and finally move on. So excited to drop this EP :-)
