clarity regarding God’s instructions on s*x and marriage. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits s*xual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). Sexual immorality is defined by scripture as s*xual relations between any two persons who are not lawfully married. "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge" (Hebrews 13:4). The Lord expects us to abstain from s*xual activity until we are married. Naturally, in our society today such a position is greeted with ridicule and disdain. Many believe that expecting people to abstain from s*xual activity is simply unrealistic. Others simply do not see the point in abstinence given the precautions that they can take to protect themselves from the negative effects of s*xual activity. Since everyone is doing it, and if I can be protected from disease or pregnancy, why should I do as the Bible instructs and abstain? These are the questions many people are asking today. God will bless us for our desire to follow his instructions as provided through His Holy Word. He has a plan for our lives and for our marriages. It can be a challenge to meet people who share our desire to honor God during our time of single hood. May you stay blessed and feel free to meet nice people here who share your commitment for purity!
