My temporary ‘office’ today. Andrew is sick today so we are having lots of cuddles in bed. Definitely not my favourite place to crochet but I want to be close to him and he’s the most comfortable in bed at the moment.

Super excited though to be working on my first doll for the Christmas market. It’s also the first time I have put a mouth on a doll. I won’t tell you how many times I took it out to redo it 🙈🤣🙈🤣

Afternoon Everyone!

Here is an update on the vintage crochet square. I got the first 6 rows done before I had to stop.

Finding this very relaxing even though I’m dropping my hook a lot. 😆

Starting it felt very awkward with the small thread and hook but after a few rows it started to feel more comfortable and keeping my tension even got easier.

It’s been awhile! I promise I have been crocheting, just not sharing very much, but I hope to start sharing very soon and I should have lots to show you soon since I’m gearing up for a Christmas market in November!

Today though I wanted to share something new that I discovered and that’s vintage crochet. I love antiques and someone just shared a YouTube channel called Just Vintage Crochet. I fell in love with what she was making.

She has a simple crochet tutorial on her channel showing how to make some vintage crochet squares from the 1930s. ❤️ I hope you will come along with me as I make these squares and learn a new to me crochet technique.

I’ll be using a size 10 crochet thread and a 1.50 hook that was my grandma’s 💕
