Brooklin is such a wonderful community and tomorrow local school Wi******er Public School - DDSB is having their second annual Wi******er Fall Funfair is not to be missed! The weather will be perfect so come on out to have fun and support our local community. Over 70 local businesses including lots of school kids setting up a a Youth vendor, including our program alumnus Ollie from Love Space and youth mentor Graeme from Double U Designs🌟

Durham’s Got Talent 📣

We had the honours to be a part of the 5th Annual Durham Region Children's Business Fair that was held at Grass Park in Brooklin this past weekend. So much talent and energy were shown by these 30 young entrepreneurs including our own Brooklin Catalyst Alumni Isabella (IG’s Cute Crafts) and Ollie (Love Space) 🙌🏼

Norma did an incredible job organizing this event and giving local youths a place to showcase their work, setup their shop and interact with customers for the day. Of course, our amazing Elizabeth Roy Mayor was also there providing support and encouragement to all youths!

Talk about supporting youth entrepreneurship and you can’t miss the biggest fair in Durham region. This Sunday, September 8, 2024 is the 5th annual Durham Region Children's Business Fair where over 30 young entrepreneurs will setup their business tables to showcase and sell their handmade and designed products and services.

Returning to Brooklin at the Grass Park, admission is FREE with parking available close by. Come on out with family and friends and have a fun day shopping and meet the kiddos!

📣 Bravo Junior Makers!

This past weekend Parkwood Estate National Historic Site held its annual Spring Fest Vendor Market. In addition to the 60+ local Makers, they also have a dedicated area featuring 8 junior entrepreneurs under the Arbour “Emerging Talent”. It was incredible to see their creativity and talent and dedication at such a young age. Bravo 🙌🏼

We are always happy to see local markets and events that support Young Entrepreneurs! Each year, Parkwood Estate National Historic Site hosts a Fall and Spring Fest Vendor Market with a dedicated youth area as well.

This year, our Brooklin Catalyst alumnus Love Space and junior program mentor Double U Designs will be a participating Junior vendor , so please do visit them under the Arbour this Saturday.

📣 A big shoutout to Brooklin junior entrepreneur Graeme Walker of Double U Designs!

One of the key highlights from our April Kids Startup Workshops at Wi******er Public School - DDSB was having Graeme as a peer mentor and also as our guest presenter. He shared his entrepreneurial journey with the students in class and made a video showing us how 3D Printing works. He also generously gifted all the students and teachers a custom made Brooklin Catalyst keychain.

Graeme is a leading creative maker in Durham and we encourage you to follow his journey and check out his 3D printed creations!
