Can’t believe I’m saying this…Le Muffin du Jour:
Spinach, Cheddar and…yes: Bacon. With 12 grain cereal and yogurt, it’s healthy and naughty all in one!
To my sour dough waffles club, yes, they are available tomorrow. Sour dough starter, AKA Igor, has been fed and was ready to give it up!

It’s back! Rhubarb Chutney, prepped, cooked and in jars. A great way of using up those big stems of rhubarb, preserving it in a delicious aromatic sauce. Goes well with grilled sausages, pork chops and chicken breasts or mixed with a little mayo in a sandwich. Also complements a cheese and charcuterie board.

Hello to Asparagus and Feta Muffins or Ham, Cheddar and Chives Muffins, with a soupçon of zingy paprika. They were well received last weekend and sold out fast. Rain overnight. Open at 9 with dry conditions 🤞😎 À demain!

On the list this week was planting 27 plants of tomatoes. And lots of onions. Happy to report they all survived and wishing for a tiny bit more warmth. Onions are battling the chipmunks, but hoping that a lot of crushed eggshells will keep the critters away.

Heads up! Sour Dough Waffles are back…are lactose free and sugar free. An option other than oh so delicious with maple syrup and fresh fruit, is using them as a base for poached or fried eggs, with a side of sausage AND a drizzle of maple syrup. So Canadian…EH!
